They walked towards the creature.
"You don't have a weapon," Daniel said.
"You just said that weapons would not be of any use."
"No, I mean magical weapons. Are you all right?"
"Pretty enraged," Mariana admitted.
The awful face looming over her munched on the pirates. It was hard to look at it without feeling a thorough sense of disgust.
She couldn't back away. It was by her doing and by Daniel's doing that the creature was even here at all. They had needed the advice of witches, and this in turn had created the need for cursed gold.
"We must be brave now," Mariana whispered. "I must be brave…"
"Rude and horrible little THING!" the beast screamed with a horrible voice that instantly reminded Mariana of a certain angry ghost.
"What is it that you seek from me?" the Sand Eater continued.
