Chapter 77 - Blush

Daniel tied her hands.

"A safety precaution," he said as he wrapped the rope around her wrists.

Once. Twice. Three times, and then those loops that she was all too familiar with. It was not a knot that she could untie by herself; she was familiar with the art of rigging a ship but he was aware of that. He could easily envision a dozen knots that she would not be able to get out of.

"Is it tight?" he asked, as if expecting her to answer, but almost immediately he laughed and shook his head. "Of course it is tight. I made it."

It was infuriating to watch him and be a little bit enchanted by him even as he captured her and took her into his so-called tender care.

The corpse was moved away from the party scene, which was probably for the best. Dead people had an annoying way of ruining celebratory events by being present.
