Chapter 23 - Chapter 06: Broken Circle(02)

Blockbuster looked at the holo-device on her wrist for a moment before slowly floating towards the group that was still standing there. Landing in front of them she looked at them as she spoke.

"Justice, don't take it too hard. You know how she can get.

Well everyone, we will be traveling to the West City to support the coastal wall. I would like to remind you all that we will only be there in case the Beast wave gets to the wall. If an S class beast shows up during the wave I will engage it. Justice, Vector if more show up I'll need you to back me up. Hopefully it won't come to that.

In this scenario the rest of you will retreat with the troops and help delay the horde from reaching the civilians.

If something stronger shows up you all are to help evacuate the civilians. The troops that are stationed there will fully brief us once we get there.

Does everyone understand my instructions?"

The group of twelve responded immediately. "YES MA'AM!"

Then let's all board the transport. Let's all make it back alive!"

Saying that, she turned around and boarded the transport, greeting the pilots as she took a seat.

All of the blue clad students boarded the aircraft and took a seat. There was a row of seats on each side of the craft along each wall. With a section in the back for cargo with the pilots partially separated from the rest of the aircraft by a divider wall and sliding pressure door that was currently open.

Vector and Justice went towards the front of the aircraft. Blockbuster looked at the two boys and smiled, a mischievous intent slowly spread across her face as the two came closer. She then snapped her fingers and manipulated the gravimetric pressure around the 3 of them preventing any sound from leaving their immediate vicinity.

"So, boys I heard through the grapevine that you were both prohibited from combat training as well as sparing."

Both boys glanced in every direction except for Blockbuster's before Justice replied, "Yes aun… Blockbuster ma'am."

Blockbuster then looked at Vector. "Well are you going to tell me or am I going to go ask the most recent recipient of the citizen service medal?" She then looked across from her and towards the rear of the craft at Matt.

Vector and Justice's bodies stiffened. Then Vector looked at Blockbuster with a frown.

"Fine Aunt Amy. I'll spill… W…"

Justice covered half of Vector's face with his hand. He then whispered, "Dude… Secret identity."

Vector glanced sideways at him. Then Justice heard his voice in his ear. "Aunt Amy already put up a sound dampening barrier of sorts. No one except us can hear inside without her knowing they are bypassing it."

Justice removed his hand and looked around. "My bad. So that's what that was…"

"We were in combat tactics class then everybody went to the training field to spar. Since he and I were the only S rank students they paired us up. Honestly we thought it would be fine since they have the barrier fields around each fighting stage. The point is we were just sparring; we didn't think the barrier field would collapse that easily."

Blockbuster just started laughing. Then after a couple seconds she looked back at the two boys. "Those barriers are designed with S ranks and below in mind. There aren't barriers in existence that can stop an S+ rank's power… So care to tell me why there are suddenly 10 extra silver crest A ranks accompanying us, instead of being in combat suits and D rank?"

Vector looked at Matt for a moment then looked back at Blockbuster. Then he rubbed the bridge of his nose looking to the side. "Well Aunt Amy it's like this... I taught Matt some of the stuff I figured out while I was training with uncle Raijin and Fujin. Then he asked if he could teach his friends in his group and it just kind of spiraled out of control from there. I didn't think it would make that big of a rukus."

Blockbuster remained silent for a few seconds seemingly mulling something over in her head.

Justice looked over at Vector whose eyes went wide as if he had suddenly got an idea. Justice's eyes narrowed slightly. ('Don't even think about uploading stuff to her. I checked the internet. There is zero mention of anything like that. So I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a Japanese or Chinese state secret. If they even know it's a thing. I'm fairly sure those two would be in deep s**t if word got out their American student was spreading state secrets to the Circle. Do you want them punished for treason?')

Vector looked at Justice. ('I never even thought about that. Considering where I got most of that information from it probably is a state secret. We all could get charged as spies if this gets out! We need to have another talk with Matt later.')

Justice nodded then looked at Blockbuster who had her eyes narrowed in suspicion. "Well aunt Amy I'm going to go sit down so the pilot can take off."

"Let the pilot know he can take off with Vector standing here."

"Yes ma'am."

With that Justice leaned past the sound barrier and relayed the message to the pilots and then proceeded towards the back of the craft. He sat right next to Matt and looked him straight in the eyes. ('Listen, I know Vector showed you how to do this already. Don't go telling anybody about the telepathy or memory upload stuff. That is unless you want us all sent to China and charged with espionage. Got it…')

('Got it. I won't even tell my mom.')

Justice and Matt nodded at each other under the confused gazes of the other students. Then they both looked out of the window as the aircraft started to rise up off the training field.

Blockbuster's jaw dropped open. "Kai… that wasn't element manipulation. Was it?"

"..."

She sighed. ('How have you two already figured out telepathy? I was 50 before I was able to do it, and you taught that Matt boy too. Well you have both have always been way too smart for your own good. Don't spread this around. Telepathic communication is a state secret.')

('They can do it in Japan and China…')

Blockbuster rubbed her forehead. "Well at least those two definitely treated you like family… Don't spread the stuff they taught you around. It will cause big trouble for them if the government gets wind of this."

'But I just figured it out from the stuff in those libraries in the bunkers in Japan and Shanghai. Yeah… Nope. I'm definitely not correcting that misconception.'
