Chapter 14 - Chapter 04: Circle Hero Academy(02)

The Circle Hero Academy, Central City, USA, Earth

Monday, September 6th, 0108 PA; 08:00(CST)

A crowd of people gathered outside of the Circle Hero Academy's main gate. It was hailed as one of the top 5 hero academies in the world. People had come from all across the country to have their children participate in the entrance exams 2 months ago. There were over 50,000 applicants at the time.

Now the 2000 person freshman class along with their parents and guardians waited for the entrance ceremony to begin. There were soldiers in full combat armor on every street and S rank Heroes patrolling the area in case of trouble.

A whistling sound echoed out from above the gate. A young man appeared in front of the large gate. He was dressed in a dark gray suit that had a gold crest with a gold circle embroidered on it along with the letters C A. This was accompanied by a white armband with the letter C printed in black on it.

He appeared around 18 years old, had black hair styled into a crew cut with deep tan skin and a hawk-like nose accompanied by a pair of bright blue eyes.

"If I could have your attention for a moment…"

The crowd quieted down looking toward the youth.

"I am the current student body vice president. My name is Surge. Once the gate opens and you have checked in with the security team, please proceed straight ahead to the auditorium and take a seat. The Entrance ceremony will begin once everyone is inside."

With that he turned around and the large 2 meter thick titanium alloy gate began to shift back and then slide open. As the gate opened one could see what seemed like a college campus with numerous large multi-story buildings surrounding a large open walkway. In the middle of the walkway was a 6 m tall statue of Supreme, Bloodwind, Typhoon, Rampage, and Blockbuster. They were the United States S+ Hero unit known as the Circle.

At the gate were 20 armed and armored guards with the school crest emblazoned over their hearts and on their shoulders.

The crowd filed in, checking in with the security team as they came through the 10 m tall gate. Then the group slowly funneled into the auditorium.

As they came into the building the students were all directed to sit in the seats set in the center of the large room by students dressed in suits that were identical to the one that Surge was wearing at the gate. The parents, family, and guardians of the students were directed to the surrounding rows of seats.

Another student in a dark gray suit with an accompanying student council armband who looked around 18 years old, walked up to the podium on the stage.

The young man tapped the microphone causing the sound to echo through the room. He then looked around the room with a welcoming smile on his face.

His red eyes glowed slightly as the lights shined off his short platinum blonde hair. "A very warm welcome to each and every one of you. Distinguished principal, respected staff and teachers, our two special guests from the Circle Supreme and Bloodwind, and my dear fellow students, welcome to the Circle Hero Academy.

I am your student body president. You may call me Pyro.

At last, this beautiful day has arrived. I am sure you all have been eagerly waiting for this day…

I am delighted to introduce the presence of a personality that hardly needs any introduction. It is none other than Mr. Blast, the director and principal of the Circle Hero Academy. I am also honored to be thanking the hard work, patience, and perseverance of our dear teachers without whom we would not have been here."

A middle aged man with red eyes and medium length reddish orange hair, wearing a three piece blue pinstripe suit came out and stood behind the podium.

"It is, indeed, a great pleasure seeing you all gathered here for the entrance ceremony. Without taking much of your time, I want to mention a lesson that personally inspires me to do and achieve more despite failing a hundred times.

Thus, let us start our new year at school with hopes and dreams that no matter how limited we might be, we will do our best to achieve what we call dreams. Also, there is something magical about success."

At this point Kai started to nod off out of boredom.

"Traditionally, we do not value the second or third positions as much as we should. After all, it is not only the first person who deserves fame, a name, and a notable status. Whether you believe it or not, each and everyone deserves it because we all work hard and give our best.

However, at the end of the day, what matters most is where do you stand relative to your yesterday, not your school fellow who probably performed better than you. Additionally, those who have invested their best but were not able to manage a victory, keep working hard because hard work pays off.

After all, Patience and Perseverance are a couple of secrets to success. With that being said, I would like to thank you all for your patience and time. And once again, welcome to the Circle Hero Academy."
