Chapter 4 - Disrupted magical world

Tyrion's POV

Tyrion looked out his window as yet another princess entered the Alpha palace. This place was huge enough to keep the 12 princesses and make sure they stay safe.

He turned this back to the window. None of this was his wish. He wanted to wait for his mate but there's no time left.

He knows that his father is not wrong, maybe not as an Alpha.

"Princess Helena is here Tyrion" Aiden spoke as he entered the room. "She'll probably want to meet you"

Tyrion nodded. Helena was a childhood friend of his so if there's somebody in this whole competition who might receive a favour from him, it's her.

"At least she is someone I can stand" Tyrion tiredly rubbed his eyes as he remembered Princess Chloe with whom he spent the other afternoon.

"And Alpha Peter wanted to convey a message to you" Aiden spoke as he got up, suddenly realising he forgot to mention the information he had to deliver.

"What is it? Does another princess need help to adjust?" Tyrion mentally grimaced as he remembered how princesses Chloe has made that excuse the other day.

"No, but something related to that only" Aiden spoke with uncertainty.

Tyrion sighed.

"Actually there's a new princess who just got added the last moment. She's from the Winter water pack"

"I've never heard about that pack" Tyrion scrunched his eyes. This is the first time he's hearing about it.

"Yeah I asked the same thing. Alpha knows that pack and told me that they used to be too powerful then they used magical creatures like fairies and Selkies to hide their pack" Aiden shrugged, even unsure of the knowledge himself.

"That's enough to maintain my distance from her. I don't need a Luna who grew up with those cunning creatures" Tyrion spoke.

"Then you can send her home in the first round itself"

"Yeah maybe" Tyrion couldn't care less.

He wanted to meet his mate. But now, there's someone else on his mind.

The mysterious girl he met in the cafe that day. He almost could've sworn she was his mate but maybe that was because he was deceived by her beauty. But boy was she gorgeous.

He found it cute how she ran away blushing. But there was a pale tall guy who followed and and they left together. Thinking about her being with somebody else made his blood boil.

But he can't think about her that way right?

Not when there's 12, now 13 princesses competing to be his Luna.

He felt like all of them were in vale. They just came here because they like the fact that he's one of the strongest alphas. They were so obsessed with power that they forgot they have a mate they're gonna meet.

The thought sent shivers down his spine. What if years after getting married, his Luna finds her mate. Well if he's not as powerful and if he marries one of the girls present here, that won't be a problem. But what if he finds his mate? This thought was scarier than the previous. How is he even gonna tell her that he can't be with her because he's already with someone.

Tyrion pushed these thoughts aside. There's no point of having these thoughts now that he's about to get married.

"Alpha, somebody is here to meet you." A guard came and informed him. He noticed that Aiden has left the room while he was in his thoughts.

"Send them in" sighed Tyrion as the afternoon sunlight hit him in the face. He got up to cover the window with the curtains when somebody spoke behind him.

"Hello Alpha, I'm Jada" a sweet enchanting voice spoke. Almost hypnotised, Tyrion turned.

Tyrion felt like moon goddess was listening to him today, so he made a mental note to ask for more power and pack funds later that evening.

"Jada, we've met before. I remember you" Tyrion almost jumped in excitement. She was the same girl whom he met in the cafe, who has been in his mind ever since.

"Yes Alpha, we met in a cafe" she spoke in a low voice, almost as if she was nervous.

Tyrion smiled, no he grinned watching her cute face go red again. "Hi princess. And no need to call me Alpha, you can just call me Tyrion"

Sophie smiled "okay Tyrion. I'll be happy to get to know you"

"Me too princess Jada. Wait, you're here in the competition right?" His eyes went wide.

It was too good to be true. The girl he can't stop thinking about, is here to compete for him. Although he felt bad he had to make her go through this competition.

"Yes Tyrion. I'm here for the competition." She answered. She wanted to speak more, she wanted to tell him how much she liked him but her body kept betraying her.

"Where are you staying princess. Which side of the house?" He questioned. It would be easier if he knows where she is so that she can stumble across her room at night. Totally accidental off course.

"The west side. My room, it's really good"

"It's good that you liked it" Tyrion was living in the north side. Going to the west won't take long he thought.

"Maybe I should get going now Alpha." Princess Jada spoke as her voice suddenly started sounding like she was worried.

"I was about to go out for lunch.Maybe you should join me" Tyrion offered. He knew that he was lying, he was not about to go out but now he definitely can.

"That would be great Alpha. I'll be in my room" Princess Jada spoke as she left a dreamy Tyrion thinking about her. Yet again.

Tomorrow, these competitions start but now that he is hopeful about the results, he can sleep in peace. Or he can stay awake and dream about her.

"Alpha there's something I need to talk to you about" Aiden entered the room suddenly, not even waiting for the alpha to agree, without a greeting.

"What is it Aiden?" Tyrion spoke with urgency, there's something wrong and Tyrion could feel it with Aidan's suddenly changed demeanour.

"Fiona came to the court" Aiden spoke and Tyrion was shocked. Fiona only came to the court when there was something wrong, when there was something terribly wrong.

"Is she still here? I need to meet her" Tyrion got up, with emergency in his voice.

"She already left, she told me to leave a message for you. That she doesn't have much time"

"Does she need help? What's going on?"

"She said that there's an emergency in her world. Her world of the magical creatures. There's been a port that has been made which is transferring people from that world to ours" Aiden took a deep breath to calm himself.

"Increase our security. We need the princesses protected at all costs. The people living on the territories need to be counted every morning. Anything unusual and I get informed" Tyrion ordered as Aiden nodded.

"Yes Alpha"

Aiden left and Tyrion was left alone again. Today he was disturbed alot of times but one person made it worth it.

He needs to increase the safety of the pack now that the magical world has been disturbed. Not to mention, if anything happens to any one of the princesses, he will have to pay the repercussions.

His hand went to the chain subconsciously and he contemplated removing it. Maybe he should, maybe he shouldn't. He sighed as outcomes of his actions came to his mind.

He's trapped in this competition but he's gonna make the best out of it. Maybe tomorrow's gonna be a better day.
