Pasithea quickly regained her strength. In the background, Coral's screeching tune grated on everyone's nerves.
"She'll probably not hold out much longer," the succubus explained. "I'm still surprised that she somehow managed to attract fiends. They usually lurk in deep ravines and feast on any unsuspecting creature." She then faced Eros, who was gobbling up dried figs and dates like a madman. "How fares you?"
"I guess, alright?" Eros muttered with a full mouth. "Let's do this." He got up to wash his sticky hands in a basin.
"Nemesis, you should lend him your shield," Limos said, looking sternly at her sister. The warrior succubus hesitated at first, but then she sighed. With a gesture of the hand, she summoned her shield from the ground.
"Thank you, but I won't be needing-"
Before the angel could finish his sentence, the succubus shoved it into his hands.
