Chapter 76 - The Oasis

Despite having a weapon now, the battle between Eros and Nemesis was still unbalanced. Unlike the angel, the succubus had no issues with the environment. And she didn't need to use her life force as much as he did. 

Panting with a blade slowly fading, Eros had no idea how much longer he would last. In the background, Reidun growled, growing increasingly impatient. She pranced forth and back like a tiger. 

"Come on, angel," Nemesis taunted, jogging on the spot and using her javelin to draw a half-circle in the coarse sand. 

"That's easy for you to say," Eros complained. The earth rumbled strongly again before the tremors faded again. While the angel reacted surprised, the succubus seemed not even to take note of it. 

"Well, I'll give you a few moments of respite then. You'd be no fun if you died." She sat on the ground, legs crossed. With her upper body held up high, she asked, "you still haven't told me if you were Lucifer's offspring."
