Chapter 3 - Curse and Antidote

Chapter 3:

I wake up with a pounding headache. I want to call Prioz to give me some medicine. Not only that, but I crack my eyes open and sit bolt up right with a screech. This is not my garden of lychnis!

Shakily, I let my eyes travel in those white roses. Wait, what? A garden full of white roses? I almost turned pale the moment I stood up and saw the garden surrounded by white butterflies and white roses. What grabbed my attention the most was a balcony on top of what seemed to be vine roses. Squat and step back a little to take a closer look at the whole area. I was caught for shock, once I saw the full detail of the mansion.

A mansion with two balconies on the right and left side. The door I wouldn't have seen if I hadn't pulled out the white roses. Once I heard a crackle from behind me, while busy parting the rose vines. Without any hesitation, I shifted my gaze to the back, and in there I saw a woman turning her back on me. Her brown shoulder-length hair.

"Where am I?" I asked myself as I looked around. But, the woman who seemed to have a more masculine curve took my gaze.

Without any further reasons, the girl turned her gaze at me. I clasped my hand in mouth for what I saw. She's not a girl because someone, in front of me, was definitely a boy.

His onyx eyes, thick eyebrows, wavy-brown-shoulder-length hair. The way he looked at me, it melted my heart, made my knees weak. His amour, the bearing and its form seemed to be that of a prince, that was kicked out from its kingdom because of the inherent charisma because the men were afraid that this man would take away their wife.

"Good morning, my Luna," he said, without any hesitation. Luna? What the—He's an Alpha?

I almost broke the rose plants the moment I stepped back, while trying to close my eyes and not just let my gaze go with his. "Don't come near me. I'm not your Luna, I'm a goddess!" I blocked my right hand to prevent him from going in my direction.

"As far as I know, I have never forgotten your name. You're Fala Caran, the guardian of the lychnis," he said, didn't even think twice to stepped closer to me.

"How did you know my name? I'm a goddess, a hidden goddess in the middle of the world. And, according to the prophecy, alphas of the town was never love meddling in the goddesses. And here you are, trying to mesmerize me by your eyes." I faced him with all strength. It was only then that I noticed my garment had a slit on the left side.

"What did you do in my clothes? Did you stripped it?" I asked him a series of questions, but he remained silent. Instead of going in my direction, it went with the white roses and picked up a piece. As soon as it came back, it bowed at the same time as he looked up at me. A smile crept in his face, as he showed to be from his behind the white time.

"I ruined it, my bad. You're still beautiful with that dress. May you accept this rose to make you feel welcome in my home," he said, without any hesitation in his voice. Then earlier I noticed that his gaze on me was strange, it seemed to be talking, glistening in the midst of the scent of roses.

With my trembling hand, I accepted his flower and sparingly smiled at him. I can already feel my heart beating fast as if it is coming out of my throat.

"What's your name?" I suddenly asked him, when instantaneously I look at his eyes.

"I'm Waylen Ryuu." It bent evenly on the lawn as if I were a queen looking up to her.

"Ryuu? A dragon spirit?" I asked him when I remembered what a witch had told me.

"I'm an Alpha, not a dragon. You stupid goddess." He laughed, but when he looked at my raging eyes. He suddenly covered his mouth, but still kept staring at me.

"Your name I mean, not you, bad dog." I intentionally smelled the white rose after letting go of that word, which was the reason for him to release a loud howl.

"You're in my territory, so learn to respect me, dear, goddess of roses," he said before pulling me inside that mansion.

The moment I set my feet on the marble floor of that mansion, it seemed like a strange presence was what I felt in those moments. Ryuu's grip on me tightened even more. The way he held my hand makes my skin uncomfortable.

"Let me go! Please, I want to come back in my home. I feel it would be better not to spend my time in here scary mansion with you!" I shouted at him and struggled, but still, he was stronger than I.

He tilted his head. The corner of his mouth rose before his gaze hovered over me and spoke. "I want your help. Someone told me, that it was only a goddess who can help me find that antidote."

I stopped struggling when I heard what he said. I found nothing in his eyes, but despair, longing, and hiraeth.

Antidote? What kind of antidote is he talking about?

"Antidote?" Confusedly, I asked him, which is why he knelt in front of me. Like he was begging in front of me. A single tear escaped in his onyx eyes.

"A long time ago, I met someone… Someone who doesn't I know, but I trust her. And you know what she did to me, after everything that I do to her?" he asked me, shakily, finding a way out.

"W-What?" I uttered while waiting for his reply. As suddenly a wind howling breaks the tension, confusion in both of us.

"I was cursed, not just a simple curse. It was the enchanted curse, the deadly curse. I was cursed by the evil witches. I am finding the enchanted antidote, made by the highest goddess of the moon. Furthermore, I want your help me. Please, I'm begging to you. . ."
