"How would I know?" Alec replied, tone was still the same, flat, and his voice sounded so auto tune, aside from the fact that the guy used to only reply with one to three words.
"Uniform?" Noah said, borrowing the bottle from Alec's hands to analyze it.
"She's a tourism student."
"From SNU? She might be graduating since only fourth year colleges wear their field uniform school every Fridays."
"Yes."
"So?"
"I am an aviation student, I am not familiar with her," he seem to get bored from the conversation already. Knowing that this guy is the type of person who limits himself from chatting like normal people do.
"You guys share the same department."
"Doesn't mean I know her already. Just like in Biology, basic taxonomy, you know."
"Here we go with science," Chace chuckled, placing his arms around Noah this time because he failed with Alec though. "Quit it, father Noah, you know you'll never win to this man." He teased.
"How does a fucking taxonomy related with a suicidal tourism student?" He rode with Chace's argument and together they laugh. "Speak English."
Alec just groaned and didn't mind them anymore, instead, he crossed his legs, grab a book and read, as if they were not there anymore. His level of patience was so short he instantly transition from chatting in what he think is nonsensical, to grabbing a book to where he can definitely learn.
"And that's why I am telling you," Chace was so confident with his words, while he drag Noah to the sofa and they squeezed him together in between. "You might save her life, but the thing that really, needs to be save and focus the most is her heart."
"Can't save heart if the person's not alive anymore," he snorted.
"Is that so? Love keeps you alive, you know."
"And that's why you're a playboy," Alec hit back. "Badly wanting to be that alive?"
"Who doesn't want to live? Now you sounded you're the suicidal here," Chace raised his brows, laughing like a child, teasing Alec to stop himself from reading. But the guy was so firm.
"Maybe Chace was saying, you should reach someone's heart to save her life," said Noah.
"No thanks, not my job," Alec finished the sentence, throw the book on the table and cross his arms on his broad chest, not convinced.
"That's the spirit!" Chace giggled as he hugged Alec.
"You can now stop bitching, girls," a man who wears only apron appeared in the living room that made everyone halt from talking. His body was so perfect he looks like a walking god, perfectly matching with the food on his hand, making it even more delicious.
"Primo!" Chace's eyes light up. He really has the energy of a five year old kid. "Did you cook Italian?"
"Am I your fucking chef to demand?" The rude guy growled.
"Boy, I love you." He made a thumbs up, then winked at him. Noah tapped Alec to join the dinner in which miraculously, for the first time, he did.
Being the most matured guy who acts like the father on the group, and is directly opposite to Chace, Noah make sure everyone will be joining dinner.
"Where's Macrub?" He asked Chace. "Have you seen him?"
"Nothing's new, he's always busy being quiet and alone," he said. "Oh!"
"What?" Noah went surprised.
"I'll call him, he may be upstairs," he giggled, jumping in excitement before he leave the kitchen.
"God, no," Primo palmed his own face. "Why did you let Chace?"
"Let him," said Alec, as he sat first on the table. Primo opened his mouth in shock.
"Bro, what's fucking wrong with you and you'll be joining us, huh?" Then he sat along on one side.
"He's got a story," said Noah, his head was still following Chace. "Right, Alec?"
"None."
"Cool," Primo said, his killer eyes went interested.
"Know why it was a big deal for us?" Noah smiled so handsome, sitting in an opposite direction to Primo. "Because you never always mind someone's business, and you never cared about women since you were separated to your mother."
There was a moment if silence, as if mentioning Alec's mother was the most sensitive topic of the century.
"Dude, you never even interact with women," Primo continued, cutting the awkwardness in between. "That's why those motherfuckers out there who were insecure towards you tells everyone you're gay, they have never seen you linked with woman."
"I'm a businessman and I run my father's billion dollar empire," Alec was firm with his words. "I don't have time for any of that."
"But you've got time to switch bottles from painkillers to vitamins," Noah argued. It made Primo's brows went higher a little bit.
"Every people will have their time if it was between life and death already."
"Like you said, it's not your business, and not your job to interfere. So you care for her," Noah doesn't seem wanted to be defeated.
"I care for life."
"I can't relate, I'm an Anti-Christ," Primo joked, and they both laughed. That ease the conversation a little. "So, how did it started?"
Alec exchanged glances between Primo and Noah, which he feels as if he was in a very hot seat. The thing is, he never mentioned any girls towards in his boring billionaire life, that's why these boys take interest at his story, hoping there was a romance that would click.
"She just," Alec paused, carefully trying to compose words in a safe manner. "She immediately went inside, crying hard...I was done using the cubicle, but she was busy looking for something, She might have not noticed that she was in a men's comfort room."
"Woah," Primo commented.
"I was about to tell her that she went inside the wrong comfort room when all of a sudden, she grabbed the bottle out, and she stared at the lavatory, maybe that time she was already thinking to overdose herself, I don't know." He paused. "All I know is she doesn't want to do it, as if she was only forced to, because I have seen her close her eyes before grabbing the pills all at once."
"Oh, so well she was busy that time, That's where you took the opportunity to switch it into vitamins?" Primo tried to grasp the whole story.
"Yes."
"Bro, that's heroic, isn't it?" Noah was happy for him.
"That's romantic," all of a sudden, Chace went inside the dining table, holding his hands with Macrub, who was still silent, defeated by Chace, that's why he just get himself busy with his phone; doesn't even bother to glance at the boys for a moment.
"Still playing online games up until now?" Noah asked. "You know it's bad for your health skipping dinner."
"This one's better than playing hearts," he replied, pertaining to Chace. But the playful guy even laughed until he took a seat beside Primo, and Macrub beside Noah, letting Alec sat on the master's table.
"No, nothing's romantic," Alec insisted.
"Why not? One woman and one guy at the cubicle, alone?" He said, voice sounded so silly. "That's romantic."
"That's erotic," Primo corrected him. They all laughed, except Alec and Macrub, who does nothing but to remain silent.
"You'll cut that shit and stop pestering me. There's nothing to find it beautiful and love, when the woman is basically suicidal."
"That's my main point why we go back to my line." Chace said, still munching some food from his mouth, eating like a child, so messy.
"It is her heart that needs to be save." He even point his fork towards him. "What you did, the switching, was an action of love."
"What do you know about love?" Alec tried to turned the tables for him. "You're a playboy."
"What do you know about love?" He repeated. "You're single."
"Burn," Primo added, teasing the two handsome man arguing their own stand.
"And!" Chace added. "I'm not a playboy, it's just that, I know how to love people. Haha!"
"You bitches both need love," Primo concluded.
"Shut up," they all said in unison. That made him cleared his throat, as the hot seat was turned towards Primo.
"Chill, motherfuckers." He said. Primo's way of cussing is so sexy no guy inside the room even complaint.
"You are the most violent, rude, dunbass, cussing machine who is sadist, and punishes no gender in the whole university. If there is someone who needs love here, it should be you," said Noah, while massaging his own temple, couldn't stand how to handle the flow of the conversation any more.
"I have a suggestion! I have a suggestion!" Chace was so wild he was even raising his hand like someone wants to participate a recitation in class.
"Ugh," Macrub rolled his eyes, as he knew Chace's suggestions are like the judgement of a five year old kid.
"What if..." Chace paused for suspension purposes. "We get Alec someone to date?
There was a moment of silence.
"Stupid," said Alec.
"If I am that filthy rich, I'll be having tons of women by now."
"You ain't rich like Alec and still you have tons of women, Chace," Primo complained. "What's lacking is Alec himself. He doesn't know how to flirt."
"Wow, you know that word?" Alec replied, being sarcastic.
"Same as how you know to save a life." Then his eyes averted to the thing beside Alec's right direction.
"Burn!" Chace grinned, pointing his finger at Alec, with his tongue out.
"Was that her bottle?" He asked, then Noah handed it to him. "What the fuck, is this poison?"
"Painkiller, though."
"Can I borrow this one? This might help me overdose my slave into teaching her how to obey me." He asked Alec. Noah palmed his own face in disbelief.
"Or you can use it right now and mix that painkiller at Chace's drink for him to shut up," Macrub suggested all of a sudden. Chace, as usual, laughed, liking how Macrub talk longer words than usual.
"Ugh, come on, father Alec!" Chace pulled out his phone. "I know what you need, that's why I'm here to help you. I got your back, okay?"
"What do you mean?
"Go get some game changer, life is boring, come on!" He encouraged him.
"I learn everyday, life isn't boring," he contradict.
"This is not science! What I mean is, go get a date! I have network of friends that I can set you for a blind date. You'll like it." He said, while scrolling something on his phone.
"No."
"Your father, Light, has its own pharmaceutical company that you handle, that's a sign you were destined to stop her. Look how medications connect the both of you," said Noah all of a sudden. "Plus the fact that she's a tourism student, and you're an aviation. Things really match for you."
"Thanks, but no."
"I've got one I know now!" Chace said in a hurried manner. "I knew this person, she's good for you."
"Alright, I will," he finally gave up. All of them, including Macrub, who never lets his eyes away from his phone, made himself face Alec due to surprise.
"Really?" He seem to lose his focus on the phone.
"I will," he repeated. "If...you will give me ten valid reasons."
"Fuck off," Primo groaned, followed by Noah who pouted, and Chace stomping his feet in disapproval. "You know we can't even score one, you fucking Sherlock."
Alec finally smiled, and they were all stunned to see it. A confident smile because he knew what Primo said is accurate.
"Thanks for the dinner," he said, "I'll be spending my night here in the Guild before I go back to home, so goodnight." Alec said before off he go.
He heard a couple of whisper among the boys but he didn't even turned his back to see their reaction. Alec grabbed the bottle in his hand, and then proceed to the penthouse and rest there for the mean time.
