Chapter 84 - Chapter 84

Silence filled the hall at Diana's enraged voice.

This naturally caught Salman's attention, who came running to their side.

"What's wron-" He wanted to ask as soon as he reached them, but Diana's eyes brought chills down his spine.

He hurriedly held Raist, "He may be rude but you must not have remembered him as you were young. His name is Raist, does that ring any bell?"

Diana turned around to face the both of them.

"Oh, I remember him clearly," she said coldly to her father.

Salman was confused, "W-what's going on here?" He looked at Raist, who was not afraid of her for some reason, not even scared if everyone found out. Something was weird.

Raist's cold expression suddenly turned confused as he was faced with Salman.

"What, I really don't know," he looked really upset as he turned to look at her.

Diana's eyebrows twitched. 'The heck?' She wondered as she was focused on Raist's body fluctuations.

He was actually surprised and upset.

Raist sighed, "It's okay. It seems like she holds a grudge against me for leaving suddenly."

Salman was easing up the people who were watching as he turned to look at her, "Is it true?"

Diana clenched her teeth, not saying a word as she noticed the worrisome expression of her father. Feeling the energy and heartbeat of Raist he was truly baffled by everything as if he doesn't remember what he did.

"Tch," she turned around and left, walking towards Cayn.

Raist was smirking behind the scenes as he was watching her back.

Diana spoke no more as she reached Cayn's side, who was watching silently as she gulped a drink from her brother's hand.

"What happened over there?" Asked Cassis.

"I don't fucking know," she spoke irritated.

"Are you afraid to act upon father's presence?" He insisted.

"He doesn't seem to know shit about what happened."

Cassis stared at her confused. "But we both spoke about the matter before you came here. WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE DOESN'T KNOW-" He was stopped by Cayn putting a hand on his shoulder.

"He faked it in front of her. Stop." Cayn's deep voice was imposing.

CRACKS!

Diana broke the glass in her hand. "You, you mean..." Her eyes turned red with rage as she turned to look at Cayn murderously.

He met her with calm unwavering eyes while speaking to her brother, "Leave us."

Cassis bit his mouth, unwilling, but he obeyed.

Diana suddenly froze. "You know."

Cayn looked at her calmly for a while before nodding slightly.

Diana looked at the ground for a while.

"Cayn," she said with a quiet voice.

"Yes?"

"Stop me, otherwise I might do something I will, regret," she growled the last word.

"What are you afraid of-" He suddenly asked but was interrupted by her.

"I am afraid of losing control," she screamed in a low tone.

Suddenly, she felt a hand patting her head.

She raised her eyes, it was Cayn, looking at her.

He was calm, calm enough that her heart shook.

A cold breeze blew by him, making his hair dance and his half-dead eyes shine brightly.

A grim reaper.

"I should be the one saying that. But you, can rampage. All. You. Want." Cayn wasn't smiling as he uttered each word carefully.

Diana remained frozen in place for a moment. "What, else do you know?" She asked him, as her heart was beating louder and faster.

BA-DUMP!

BA-DUMP!

BA-DUMP!

She felt her breathing quickening.

BA-DUMP!

Her lungs choked her.

BA-DUMP!

Waiting.

BA-DUMP!

Cayn was silent, as if even uttering these following words was enough to make him snap already.

BA-DUMP!

Diana's eyes were trembling.

"He is, a reincarnator," Cayn's voice cracked, as if he was trying his best to contain himself.

BA-DUMP!!!!!!!!

"Ah," was the only quiet sound that left Diana's mouth as her expression froze.

And then, doom fell.

The palace rumbled.

The ground shook at the sounds of thunder.

The dark sky outside was outlined by clouds of blood.

BOOM!

Diana's dress danced with the terrifying red energy emitting from her, roaring all the way breaking the palace's ceilings.

The screams and voices of the people fell on deaf ears.

It was happening.

Amina held her hand in front of her face, trying to defend herself against the soaring wind caused by the massive murderous aura.

'Must all good parties end on such a note?' She wondered, not understanding what was happening she quickly let out her own aura coupled with the gods, which made it easier for the others to catch a breath.

In the midst of it all, Diana's eyes almost cried out blood, finally losing the last bit of rationality.

Cayn was standing in front of her with his clothes and hair dancing with the wind.

His left hand was in his pocket, while the other one was clenching a fist so tightly blood was being spilled from in between his fingers.

Raist, was a reincarnator with past life memories ever since he was born in this world, meaning, he knew exactly what he was doing to that nine-year-old girl while he was twelve.

Cayn, had to control his urges ever since he achieved the prowess to stand against all the mighty creator gods with his chaos. Ever since that day he was the all-knowing of all universes and beings. But he stopped the world's voices as he didn't care about anything.

But ever since back then, he knew of the existence of Raist.

Ever since then, he had to endure the bloodlust.

He had to endure hiding everything from her.

Until the last day, they were getting ready when she finally noticed something wrong with him.

This wasn't the first time for him to have to hide his killing intent from his people.

But to be of the level of the same bloodlust, that tore down the pantheon of the beings holding the pillars of creation...

No, it was even stronger than that...

This, was far beyond that...

Right now, the only thing holding him back was that, he knew, it wasn't his moment.

It wasn't his time.

This was, all Diana's.

He may be knowing of everything that Raist is hiding.

But, this is, her moment.

'Can you feel it, Diana?'

The moment for the future apostle of chaos.

The woman who will race him for his throne.

'There is death in your fingers now.'

This, was the birth of the empress.
