Cayn's iris turned from golden to entirely black, with only a white line shining around his dragon-like pupils.
A dark abyss stared deep into their souls.
Ursy, the creator goddess of suffering and torture, stood behind her man, Ajan.
Everyone stood there unable to move.
They were the only ones left.
Slowly the souls of the creator gods started taking shape.
Cayn was also waiting.
They all stood silently, until the souls materialized.
Until the souls became bodies.
The others weren't glad, rather it was obvious Cayn had something in mind.
Otherwise, he wouldn't wait.
Will he keep torturing them?
Will he keep killing them over and over?
He doesn't have the sword.
What will he do?
Those were the thoughts of everyone as they woke up in their new bodies.
Even when they all came back to life they stood there motionless, waiting.
Cayn's eyes never left the four he spoke the name of.
Sura had his eyes somewhere else.
That sword in Cayn's hands.
Yes, that sword.
Its screams were only heard by him.
Were they too focused on Cayn to notice?
Were they all unaware?
Or was he hallucinating because of his fear?
Wait.
Him?
Afraid?
The, god of death, afraid?
Afraid of a mere mortal?
Fear.
Sura started laughing all of a sudden.
His hand rose to his face.
He seemed to go insane.
His smile grew like a weird creep.
Me! The almighty! Felt fear?
He started laughing hysterically.
The others got back to themselves as they stared at him.
Confused.
Raphael started screaming.
"Where is the sword Sura? We need the sw-" He clenched his mouth shut as he met Sura's eyes.
Death.
A shivering cold ran down their spines.
But they smiled, because the one they followed is back.
The one they dared no go against.
The one who ruled over their death and lives.
"The sword... Oh yes..."
Suddenly they felt that something was wrong.
An uneasy feeling grew in their hearts.
Sura regained his posture.
He raised his hand in the air.
Galaxies and universes turned as small as dust in his palm.
Their energies kept gathering.
More.
More.
Those were the worlds he ruled over.
The uneasiness in the others' hearts grew.
They saw the sword being formed in front of them.
And it was, at the cost of all those lives in his hand...
A blue-colored double-edged sword took shape.
His colors dimmed down as there was no more to gather.
And then Sura raised his head weirdly, turning it slowly towards the other creator gods with a creepy smile.
Their hearts sank.
A ray of light slowly emerged from their bodies.
One started screaming, but before long he became dust.
The others roared and went for Sura's head, only to be stopped by the three beside him.
Ursy smiled at them evilly, "Shh, be good boys for mommy and turn into a delicious sacrifice."
and before long a few hundred turned into dust.
Sura stopped laughing and his eyes were stuck on Cayn, who was waiting still, not moving, not saying a word, just watching him.
Sura smiled in his mind, "Yes, keep standing there. Acting all cocky. Yes... yes... I shall be the one to break your mind and soul. I shall have all my fun with you... yes..."
Raphael suddenly spoke as he stopped a dying god's sword. "Isn't this enough?"
"It will never be enough, we sacrificed ten but the god of wisdom is still alive. So shut up and wait," spoke Odomon.
"Yeah, if anything the universe will give birth to more gods," continued Ajan.
"After all this isn't the first time hehe," laughed Ursy.
Raphael then smiled with them as he turned to look at Cayn.
If he is left alone with these gods he will rule over the next gods with them.
Now they only need to kill Cayn.
Yes, only him, their only hindrance.
Cayn waited.
Cayn, watched.
He knew of this power because of his first vision of the future.
Yeah, his first.
Because now Cayn can see everything.
The future is laid out to him.
But he stopped it.
He closed his eyes.
He closed his ears, which heard everything in the universe.
He closed his senses, which felt the breath of every atom.
But now Cayn was sure.
He isn't the will of destruction.
Even the will of creation misinterpreted his powers, his being.
Cayn, was not created.
Cayn, was not given birth to, by the universe.
Because it was from Cayn that the universe was born.
It was from Cayn that the first light brightened.
Cayn, is where the universe expands.
Cayn, is, the nothingness.
Cayn, is, the abyss, that slowly took shape.
No, if he was, he wouldn't have been born as a human.
Why a human of all things.
Cayn only understood one thing.
Whether it was the will of destruction, the abyss, he was all.
He, became all.
Unlike these gods who were birthed with strength and abilities.
Unlike the will of creation who was birthed over all over them.
Cayn was a mere human soul.
He wasn't born with anything.
And the last he wanted to hear was to give up to the will of destruction.
Cayn, struggled to get him.
Cayn, got his strength by force from the universe.
And now it wants to put responsibilities on him?
After everything, it did for him not to reach this place.
And that s how he felt it as he met the will of creation.
The abyss, calling back to him.
Telling him to turn everything back like how it used to be.
Rather than put the universe in a cycle of destruction and creation.
Rather than submit to the will of the universe.
To bring everything back to nothingness.
To break, the universe's existence.
He felt how angry the abyss was.
How hungry it felt to swallow the universe that kept expanding and bringing light into its darkness.
Yet the will of life only kept growing.
Even when all they did was kill each other.
Even when all they did was judge each other.
The abyss wanted darkness again.
Silence.
Nothing.
Yet it kept getting lower and louder.
The abyss slowly manifested its powers into the only being who was compatible and hated the universe.
The only one it could depend on, was birthed by the thing it loathed.
But it was okay.
It shall rule over him and swallow everything.
Little did it know, that it would be swallowed by Cayn itself.
