The creator god of wisdom.
According to what Cayn said those angels below this god shouldn't have freedom of will other than him.
Then how could Raphael, the traitor, the angel of light and justice, plot such a traitorous act?
That is because, he was also picked up like Cayn.
A creation that seemed of immense virtue and the light of its people in its world. A man and a being who always pursued justice.
Now stand as a traitor to his god.
What Cayn always was waiting for, what he was asking himself all these years was if the God who created his world was truly the definition of a God to him.
It all started in his past life.
While this man never wished to live he still did. he always believed he had no reason and it was fine for him to die at any moment. But that changed as he had to protect his people.
But after that, it came back again.
That empty feeling of his.
Was protecting them the only reason for his life?
It was boring, empty, and dark.
The only time he felt alive was fighting those armies for all these years.
Killing them all grew him even more bored of life.
He died, his body breathed its last as his mind found no reason to live having achieved everything.
Or that's what he thought as he ascended. Meeting the primordial god of Wisdom and all his angels and worlds.
Stronger people, led by a man who had a purpose, even if Cayn never truly believed he was the true god.
After all, with his eyes. Cayn could see, that that god was only, but a weak being who could be surpassed by him. That was no god to him, nor the other who called themselves the ranked creator gods.
but he still followed him.
He was a good ruler. And Cayn was bored of all responsibilities, so he followed him as he shared his ideals.
He only wished to fight. Or rather, find what moved his heart.
But those billions of years of living on all kinds of battlefields only grew a deeper emptiness in his heart.
Whether it was fighting to protect or merely because he would enjoy it. Everything lost meaning to him.
He who had no reason to live, was breathing for billions of years, just for the sake of it. He created a drug with his powers, for him to feel like what a normal human could, for him to feel care and love as he loved his first family.
Whether it was his parents who died in front of him or the kidnapped kids he grew alongside.
But he realized his emotions left him as soon as he died in that world.
He was bestowed another life. A mother and siblings he could protect this time.
And he lived alongside them while still consuming the drug, little by little loving them.
Cayn always smoked when his eyes grew cold and he could feel his emotions leaving him.
Diana never truly got an answer from him rather than it keeps him sane.
She had many speculations, but only the traitor, finally told her it was the opposite of what she thought.
The drug was there, to keep his emotions rather than kill them. He merely used the dragon to portray strong emotions like being mad.
Thus this is what brought Diana even more confusion.
Then why would, Cayn, not be able to control his powers?
Cayn was unwilling to go back to his powers.
Because even if he smocked for billions of years, nothing changed when he was that strong being.
Cayn, wished to be weak, for the drug to work.
But because of all these emotions built in this life, he couldn't be sure of controlling his powers anymore.
That is because, with such weaknesses as having feelings, he wouldn't be able to control the law's power of destruction.
But that was what he thought before.
Now after closing on himself for months and regaining his past life's former power, deciding to imitate the primordial god of Wisdom to look into the future and was greeted by such a sight.
He didn't care anymore.
But more than anything.
It seems like Cayn, changed.
That wasn't his normal rage.
This, wasn't his normal fury.
he didn't care about no god of shit being killed.
Oh, he didn't.
He saw his family, his mother, siblings, and his wife being tortured and used in his visions.
He was mad.
This madness came deep from within his heart.
Especially knowing, that this man, this traitor was also the reason the souls of his parents were destroyed.
All this time he couldn't blame that god of shit for being negligent about his world.
But now he knew the truth. It was this man.
It was him.
It was him.
Cayn didn't give a shit about his unanswered questions anymore nor the purpose of his life.
Kill.
Kill.
Kill.
Was the only word resonating in his mind, until he suddenly teleported somewhere else.
Standing before a light.
"You are here," spoke the light.
Cayn calmed down for a moment, because it had no mouth but he could hear.
It let out no sound but he could understand.
A voice without intonation.
"You are..." Cayn's eyes widened.
"Your answer, to your questions, the others you should find the answer to them yourself."
"It seems like you know me."
"We created you. We watched over your destiny, and it was your choice to follow it."
"You..." Cayn sighed as if he gave up on his first question. "My destiny you say?"
"Yes, your destiny. Emperor of Chaos and Gods."
Cayn stood there quietly for a moment. "I am no emperor anymore. And I was never one of the gods."
"That remains your choice for the future. After all, if it's not you, we can create another in your place."
Cayn grinned, "Will they be like me?"
The light remained silent for a while. "Sadly, there is no one like you."
"Why is that? After all, you created me."
"For a while now, you had in mind how those creator gods were no omnipotent gods."
Cayn didn't speak anymore. His question was not answered.
"As you may have already guessed. We can be called a true god. But we are merely the will of true creation itself. We have no concept of bad or good. Everything is merely two sides of a coin, in which we, hold the balance. but it was lost by the actions of those who are coming for you now."
"If villains arise we give birth to a hero. If peace prevails we give birth to chaos. And the cycle continues."
Suddenly Cayn spoke. "until when?"
The light remained silent.
"What is the purpose of all of this?"
"Cayn," spoke the light as it suddenly started to chape a figure. "You are the one, who will give it a purpose."
Cayn stood there stupefied for a second because of its words.
The light slowly started taking shape of a child, with ice blue hair and cyan eyes. A beautiful light came from its small white clear wings.
While his mouth spoke it sounded like many children were talking at the same time.
"You, ascended. You, became a god. You, are the one who gives purpose to life for the mortals. Your purpose in life is to watch over them. Otherwise, you stand down from your seat as a god, and live as one of them."
It continued. "We are the will that oversees the gods, making sure they do not overstep their boundaries. But not only did they do that. The gods became greedy, fought, and stole amongst themselves, treated the mortals as slaves and playthings in both their lives and afterlives."
"Then what. They are the villains and I am the hero you gave birth to?"
"Excuse my rudeness for what we said earlier. We, did not create you. but our actions did. The universe did and will of time of space. They all, gave birth to you."
"What?"
"We are a will, Cayn. We do not have the same lines of thought as you do. As you accept chaos you will be like us. We are the universe. We are the concept of time and everything within them. We have been watching, and waiting for you ever since the first clock ticked, which slowly turned into all of this. From utter darkness and nothingness to many worlds that change according to their time and actions of those created alongside it. We have waited, for you. The one who will be born in only one world, never another like you in any parallel timeline. You. Only you."
Cayn shut his mouth.
"All these gods in every universe, timeline, and realm were born alongside their world. you were not. Certain beings can ascend to godhood on their own even if it goes against our will. If their will is strong enough, they can achieve it."
"The heaven's judgment and the heavenly tribulations as you would call them."
"We are the will of creation and the laws of the universe."
"And as we said, everything flows into a cycle. If we are the will of creation. You are the will, of destruction. You are, our other side of the coin. We are both, the laws of the universe. Everything we have created so far, will reach a time for it to disappear by your hands. and the cycle will start again. As we create, you will destroy."
"Your task before was ending worlds into their judgment day for a god to judge its mortals and creations. Your task this time is to destroy all that is created including the gods. For another cycle of gods to appear to rule over another cycle of mortals. In which in their own time, will reach their end by your hands."
"We still don't know why you were born of human nature. We are sure you know, you can't control this power whilst having human emotions. You need to leave your relations. You must, end, everything."
"Now, Oh will of chaos, descend upon this realm and let the cycle be-"
"No," spoke Cayn.
It stood there, facing him with no expression. "Why?"
"This back and forth play. No."
"Then what will you proceed to do?"
"Destroy the eyesores and leave the good ones."
"Will you, personally erase them? rather than erase everything and start anew?"
"Why? either I erase everything or not These kinds of creatures will always exist. Both you and I know that. So then let me just take care of them."
"But you can't withstand the power of chaos If you don't give in to its will."
"I already controlled it."
The child paused for a moment.
"Look at you, finally having that expressionless face aside. I guess you have been living a boring life till now."
Cayn already understood this great existence. For him to merely shoulder the thought of being a perfect angel and god for the mortals had him live years in solitude.
What about this being, who watched who knows how many millennia?
Cayn understood why the will of creation was born as something close to a lifeless being. As it should have no emotions nor favorability toward the essence of life as it is the creation.
As for him, being crazy and having such a temperament was a good match.
The child looked confused because it couldn't read Cayn's soul or thoughts anymore.
Did he truly achieve it while maintaining himself?
"Don't look at me like that," Cayn smiled lightly.
He turned his back.
"Maybe we should hang out sometime after this. Go out and enjoy the many worlds you created. And if there is anything unpleasant to the eye let me take care of it."
"For now," Cayn's voice deepened.
---
Raphael and the others saw portals being opened while they were still confused about why his powers didn't work.
Many figures started appearing from the dimensional cracks. Slowly all these figures who kept flying in space made a sea of creatures with clearly some in the lead.
Raphael clenched his teeth as it was too late for him but it soon became a smile as he met the two figures who stood in front.
But they weren't smiling, because Cayn's body who was bugging, disappeared suddenly leaving only Diana, Malik, and the others.
They stood in front of this huge army of celestial beings. Creatures they never heard of nor imagined while only a few of them had a human-like appearance.
Cayn's body disappeared.
They all stood there confused.
A massive dark portal opened up behind Diana.
But it was quiet. No energy was leaking from it.
It was, quiet, and peaceful, but it made everyone standing facing it, have an uneasy feeling in their heart.
---
Cayn sighed.
"Yeah. For now."
"Let me take care of some eyesores." His teeth clenched, but he smiled evilly.
Oh, he was not only about to erase them.
He was about to show them fear.
True, terror.
The child behind him smiled as he disappeared from his sight.
"Truly, we won't be bored even if it's just the two of us."
