It was a beautiful weekend for every student of Blue sky high as they were participating on a friendly match with the neighbouring school.
They played all kinds of sports Chris participated in football match the girls shouted his name everytime he shoots the ball, noises filled the whole stadium as the blue sky students cheered for their team being the winners of that match scoring 3-1 against their neighbours.
Among the students who were watching the match from the stadium bleachers was Gaby, she was seating in the front row clapping her hands together after her school team won.
Chris saw her and gave her a sign to follow him in distant as he walked away from the playground. She argued herself whether to follow him or not and decided to follow him.
They ended up at the store room of the school which was not frequently used, he held her wrist the minute she got near him and lead her further inside after closing the door.
"What's this about?" Gaby asked him as they were standing at the middle of the room.
He gazed at her beautiful eyes as he said, "I miss you! You don't even answer my calls and texts anymore, have we really reached that state Gaby?"
She said no word as she pitied how he looked at that moment, he was affected by her sudden change of mind not wanting him near her. He held her warm hands without breaking his affectionate gaze towards her.
"For these past few weeks that you have been avoiding me, it made me realise how much your presence means to me...there is an empty spot inside here that was once filled with you!" He held her hand and placed it on the left side of his chest.
"Chris I....." She was about to say something but he placed his index finger on her mouth to prevent her from talking.
"Shhhh! Let me finish.." He smiled at her.
Gaby sighed and gathered her full attention to what Chris was saying. "There is something in your eyes that tells me you are not okay, you are trying to hide something from me...you are in pain Gaby and I can feel it, why can't you trust me and lift the burden off your shoulders...I can help you if I know what's wrong with you!" He tried to convince her to talk.
Her eyes became wet and tears rolled down her cheeks, she runned her fingers through her hair as she said.."It's just complicated Chris..even if I tell you what am going through in my life, you can't do anything.."
"Then try me Gaby..tell me and see what I'll do, you can't speak for me.." He challenged her.
"I appreciate you being persistent but it's not helping...my mind is already made up and am not telling you anything." She stated seriously as if warning him not to ask again.
He shrugged his shoulders and raised his hands up gesturing that he has given up, Gaby who still had tears on her face felt sorry for him and called out his name when he turned his back on her.
"Chris!"
"What? You enjoy seeing me like this huh..that am desperately attached to you even when you push me away I come back, right?" He raised his voice on her without facing her.
She calmly requested, "please don't turn your back on me, stick with me till the end that's all I need from you"
Her calm voice was enough to shut his anger down and turned back to face Gaby. She was crying, looking helpless the look that he despised because it didn't fit a beautiful girl like her.
He crossed the little distance between them and buried her face in his manly chest as he hugged her tightly while patting her back. When she calmed down he held her shoulders and whispered to her face
"I love you!" He confessed without shifting his glance from her.
Gaby was not shocked by his confession because his actions and eyes spoke that word everytime they met. She blushed a little without uttering a word, she smiled shyly glancing back at him.
