"Get the children to safety!" Romeo shouted.
The sky was lit up by falling asteroids and meteors, something that has never happened before up until now. The culprit behind the raining meteors and asteroids was bluntly obvious. There's only one demigod who can harness the power of fire and lava: NetherBrine.
With Daniel gone, the settlement had no protector. The Minelantians returned to their underwater kingdom after the DreamChaser dropped anchor at the new island. Once everything and everyone settled down, that's when they left. But not without leaving the blockheads with a way to call them if anything were to come up. A rare underwater item, sometimes found in the Ocean Monuments, they'd given Romeo the heart of the ocean. Its power is not to be messed around with. With such a powerful artifact in the hands of a mortal blockhead, if mistreated could lead to very bad things happening to the wielder.
"Where is safe?" Freddie shouted as the children huddled around him. Ava and Annabelle were holding each other's hands, not daring to let go. They've grown so close in fact that they considered each other sisters. How about that?
"Anywhere but the beach!" Romeo answered.
Freddie looked around at potential places to hide. One by one, he crossed off places that weren't considered safe on the mental list he created in his head.
NetherBrine was flying down towards the island. Filled with rage and blinded by revenge, he sought out to kidnap the children and take them as hostages to be used later for bargaining purposes.
He set his sights on Ava and Annabelle first, then the others thereafter. Trailing behind a massive asteroid, which was as big as the DreamChaser, he was descending quickly down towards the island.
Merlin and Leona were desperately trying to figure out a spell that would prevent NetherBrine from making landfall. But with each passing minute, their time to cast the said spell was dwindling.
"Go! Find somewhere safe! I can handle him," Notch shouted as he ran past them, then disappeared. He had teleported up onto an asteroid near NetherBrine, but wasn't close enough to intercept him.
"Hey there!" Notch yelled while waving his hands.
NetherBrine looked over at him and flew over to him. But Notch teleported again just before NetherBrine could touch him. Instead, NetherBrine flew head first into a smaller meteor, breaking and shattering it.
Petra, HeroBrine, EnderBrine and Victoria were all flying back down from the heavens. They had been given special permission to intervene with this conflict. Herobrine and EnderBrine both saw NetherBrine and were surprised to see that he was alive. But how, they wondered.
"Go help them get somewhere safe. We'll deal with him," Herobrine told Victoria and Petra.
"Got it," Petra replied in a confident and determined tonal voice. Herobrine and EnderBrine both diverted course and were now flying towards NetherBrine.
"I thought you killed him?" Herobrine asked as he glanced over to his left at EnderBrine.
"I threw him into the Sun," EnderBrine replied, "or, at least, I thought I did. Either way, I won the fight. He lost. How he's alive, I don't know."
Herobrine knew exactly how NetherBrine was still alive. But he spared EnderBrine the embarrassment. After all, he was the most "powerful" demigod out of the three of them.
Down below, back on the ground, Freddie and Leona were leading the children into the forest. Before the DreamChaser arrived, Leona had surveyed the island and mentally noted many caves that were located within the mountain. The caves would be utilized and treated as a shelter or safe place for incidents just like the one happening now.
The children were crying and screaming. Their fear of the chaos around them was clear. As they approached the Jungle tree line, an asteroid came crashing down onto the DreamChaser, destroying it. The destruction of the ship was followed by a massive mushroom cloud explosion. An explosion so powerful that it matched the TNT bomb that destroyed the Golem Monster power. An outburst of hot air blew out from the explosion. Without the DreamChaser, there's now no way of fleeing the island. For all everyone knew, they were trapped. Their options were limited.
On Earth, Steve, Alex, and Petra are sitting at the dining room table. Ruby had finished her breakfast and was then told to go get ready.
"Can you come help me, mommy?" Ruby asked as she made a pouting puppy-dog face. Alex chuckled and got up from her chair. Ruby raised her arms, signaling that she wanted to be picked up. That's exactly what Alex did.
"Alright sweetheart. Let's go," Alex mumbled as she glanced down at Alex. She then nudged her head to her right, signaling to Petra to go wake Daniel up. Petra glanced over at Daniel, then briefly looked up.
"He wouldn't stop talking about you, you know,"she muttered, "it sounded as if many memories were made. I'm certain he will be happy to see you. Don't be shy."
"It's just—"
"Just what dear?" Alex asked.
"I'm supposed to be dead," Petra explained, "In the OverWorld I died to—"
"A witch?" Steve asked as Petra turned around in her chair to look back over at him. Alex put her hand on Petra's shoulder.
"C'mon mom, I'm going to miss the bus," Ruby said.
"Yes," Petra replied confusingly.
Alex walked down the hallway and into Ruby's room. Steve took a sip of coffee. Petra is just as confused as Steve and Alex. Moreover, she still hesitates to wake Daniel.
As sound asleep as he appeared, it was just an illusion. His nightmare ensued inside.
"An adventurer, explorer. Heck, you were even a Queen at one point. Together, you and him defeated the Brine Family."
Petra puts her hand up to stop Steve from talking. She chimed in to correct him.
"Not by ourselves, no. We had help from other blockheads, villagers, and even the animals. We even befriended a dragon named Elderon."
"So I was told," Steve said as he set his coffee cup down on the table. He leaned forward in his chair, resting his arms on the tabletop. "My point, Petra, is that even after your death, you were still an equal part of him."
"What does that mean?"
Steve sighed and shook his head.
"He never forgot about you," Steve elaborated for Petra.
Daniel suddenly woke up. He sat up on the couch and tossed the blanket off of him. He rubs his eyes and then opens them. When he looks over at Steve and Petra, they both look back at him.
Down the hall, in Ruby's bedroom, Ruby was giggling and laughing as well as Alex laughing too. Petra stood up from her chair and stood next to it.
"Daniel?" She mumbled as she put a hand out in front of her. "It's me…Petra."
"Huh?" Daniel said as he slowly turned his head to look over at her. When he did, Petra noticed that something was off about him. Something she couldn't quite wrap her head around. "Petra?"
She smiled faintly and said "yeah, it's me. Really."
"The Petra I knew died years ago," he mumbled.
"That's right. I died to a witch, remember?"
She began inching closer towards Daniel. He was still sitting on the couch. As she got closer, he raised his hand. His voice changed and went into a demonic sounding voice. Steve jumped out of his chair when he heard Daniel start talking.
"Hello Steven," the demonic voice said as he leaned slightly to his left to look past Petra. Daniel smiled faintly. "Last we talked was —"
"235 years ago," Steve finished.
Petra turned around to look back at him. After she had come through the anomaly, he had told her that he had no recollection of the OverWorld. But to her surprise, she was deceived.
"How do you know me?" Steve asked as he rubbed the back of his head.
Daniel smiled sinisterly. His eyes turned all black. Petra froze in her tracks. Mentally, she was rapidly connecting the dots. She knew who was possessing Daniel's body.
"Nightmare!" Petra said.
Alex and Ruby came out of the bedroom, with Ruby dressed and ready to go to school. Petra turned around and held her hand out. She shook her head.
"Don't move," Petra mouthed to Alex. Alex understood and pulled Ruby back against the wall so they wouldn't be seen.
"Surprised to see me?" Nightmare asked.
"Where's Alex Steven?" Nightmare asked Steve.
"It's Steve, not Steven."
"Feisty, just as I remembered," Nightmare said.
"How are you here? You don't exist in this World," Petra said.
"And neither do you three. I banished them here after they lost their fight. But to answer your question: I never died."
