After Kelvin had left, Amanda turned and looked at her sister, Ella with a smile but froze for a split second, "Did I imagine the look of pure disdain on her face?" she asked herself. It was so fleeting that she convinced herself it was her imagination as she saw a genuine wide smile pasted on Ella's face but dear Tasha who had been observing Ella since they came in saw everything as clear as could be.
After Amanda's observations about the cracked mirror they had seen previously, she had decided to keep a close eye on Ella whenever she was around. After all, like Kelvin, Tasha did not have any family members at all. She was an orphan who had catered for herself. But Amanda had treated her like family and so she reciprocated the feeling. That was the reason why Tasha was with them at a 'family dinner' when she was not related to them. Tasha gazed thoughtfully at Ella for a few before turning her attention back to Amanda to continue their conversation.
