As Mitch watched the last of the shareholders storm out of the room, he turned to the remaining occupants of the room as if to ask what could be done next.
But he obviously got no reply or feedback from them at all.
"Did we hear anything from the bank?" he directed the question at is assistant,
"They are all refusing to loan us any more funds until we have been able to make some of our overdue payments from the last fiscal year," was the response from the young man who looked frightened for some reason.
He had been very happy when he landed the job as the personal assistant of Chairman Mitch Menas, but if not for the fact that he needed the money for his sister's hospital bills, he would have quit on his very first day. He was so disappointed that he had idolised a man with such a bad attitude as he had witnessed first-hand. He was Joel Rose, and this was his first job after he completed his studies at the university.
