Chapter 16 - Trappings of a boss

The building itself was breathtaking as no cost had been spared in fashioning it. It was built in a similar structure to the Buckingham palace only that it looked even more colorful than the queens abode thanks to the alluring lights that laced almost every part of the structures wall. I never could have imagined my sister would have stayed in such a place like that and expected to fare the rest of her college months without going broke. We may have been rich while growing up but we had all aged to embrace the reality that we weren't the elites we use to be. Perhaps Mehitabel was so naïve not to have done so. I stepped into the gate from what I thought was a free pass for all as not a single person had been denied entry and at that moment, I heard a sharp voice calling out to me in a manner that lacked every bit of cordialness in it.
