Chapter 18 - Convictions

" If I had to go by the convictions of Charlotte, then the huge guy wearing the red shorts and had no shirts on, was my guy. His physique was quite alluring as it showed a good appraisal of the months he may had spent in the gym. When all the guys behaved in an egoistic manner even while they played, his ego was worse as he hardly smiled or walked without bouncing like a hip-hop star. If I had to gamble, then all my life savings would have been staked towards him being my major target. To be sure, I had to go the extra mile to find out things for myself. The only way I could do that was to engage the young men in a conversation even though the moment seemed quite awkward due to the inhospitable mannerisms of the so-called basketballers. If I cared about manners though, I would have still been in the Vatican as at then. All I cared about was result and cared less about the procedures that brought it to limelight. I steadied my pace, took a breath and headed towards the court.
