I had never cried this long made my eyes red and puffy I couldn't pack my clothes faster. I didn't want to leave yet and reconcile with Tala either. I know she's been mad at me; I didn't receive any call from her.
There was a soft knock on my door. "Hey, kiddo, ready to go?"
I ignored Gideon and continued to pack. I wasn't in the mood to talk to anyone now that I'll be leaving this place. It's my home, and it's where I was born. Forget being a hybrid of vampire and werewolf, I'm happy here, and now I'll be leaving.
"Ria, it's not like we are ever going to see this place," Gideon says. "Once everything is less dangerous, I promise to take you right back here."
I scoff.
"Ria," Gideon sat on the edge of my bed, trying to get my attention. "Ria? Look, I know you are upset. I am too. I lost my privilege as a free man. Once I return to Grimswald, girls there will be swarming for me. Like I'm honey, and they are the bees."
