"Hand over the mutt, and no one gets hurt," says the vampire with dirty and oily hair.
Who the hell are these people?
My house is not too far from Evergreen Village. My parents bought the creepy and haunted house on the top of the hill before I was born because it can keep out unwanted visitors
Sadly, it didn't scare these people.
These two vampires and one werewolf look different than my parents and Gideon. Mom and Dad have model features in Hollywood movies, whereas these strangers look high on whatever they are sniffing at.
Dad did say that not all vampires and werewolves were raised in a good environment, and some don't like the rules, leaving and becoming rogues.
Judging by the crazy eyes, damaged skins, oily hair, and looking like they have eaten in months, I guess these are the rogues Dad was talking about.
"Who the hell are you guys?" Gideon asks in a hostile tone.
"You don't need to know," the vampire woman answered with her airdry tone. "We only came here for the child."
Child?
Are they here for me?
I mean, who are they talking to unless Mom and Dad have kept a secret child in an underground basement that I don't know about.
I wonder what other secrets my loving parents had kept from me?
Do I have an Aunt who is half-elf? Or a distant relative who somehow went mad and turned himself into a duck?
I don't know; I'm just creating all the possible reasons why my life is my life. Still full of secrets and unanswered questions I still have locked up in my head.
Gideon crosses his arm, not being intimated by three rogues who came here uninvited and looking for a child who is not here. "I don't know who you are and why you are here? I don't know the child you are looking for because that person does not exist."
The other vampire, larger and muscular and could take on Gideon as he scruffed off a laugh. He took one giant stride toward Gideon, having a small inch taller than my brother. The big vampire bore his fangs and took a whiff. "Werewolf," another dry laugh. "You think a pampered pooch like yourself can take me on? I don't feel threatened. Best better tell me where the child is, and I wouldn't want to break anything precious on that pretty boy's face of yours."
Gideon puffs his chest and steps closer until their noses are almost touching. "Then you better leave, or else I do more than breaking that ugly ass face of yours."
"Just kill the poor bastard and break into the house," hiss the female vampire. "We are waiting time."
"Gina is right, Norrix. Stop flirting with each other and let us finish what we came here for," says the shoddy werewolf instruct.
"Don't tell me what to do just because you were pointed as the leader, Rufus," Norrix hiss at the werewolf. "You are not the boss of us. We don't take orders from stinky wet dogs."
"I couldn't have done this alone, but sadly I'm stuck with blood addict Gina, and you couldn't put your little friend in your pants."
That hit a nerve on Norrix as he removes himself away from Gideon and comes face to face with Rufus in a flash. "I wouldn't talk about gallivanting with our dicks when it comes to you werewolves having an obsession with humping on things every five seconds."
"At least I don't have to look like a walking stick," Rufus retorted. "How long has it been since your last meal?"
A stick? This Norrix guy looks like he can break something in half. But who knows since all three looks like addicts.
Norrix let out a growl, and so did Rufus. They were staring at each other eye to eye, trying to win intimation.
Gideon exhales sharply and scratches his head. "Look, if you two want to fuck each other, there is a bush over there and take that stinky vampire with you, but would you mind leaving the property, or else I will kick your ass."
"You sure have guts to go up against us," Rufus stop playing the staring game with the large vampire. "It's three of us and one of you."
"I love a good fight. Been itching to kick some ass you rogues did to me eighteen years ago. Time to repay the same fate you did to my parents," Gideon cracks his knuckles and round his shoulders, preparing for a big fight.
Gideon has been waiting for this day to come and now, he can get his revenge. I hope he doesn't get hurt. I know I shouldn't worry because it's Gideon but I can still worry, can't I?
"This will be fun," Norrix grins and charges at Gideon.
The giant vampire swings his fist at Gideon as they dodged my every move. Gideon knows how vampires fight because he had a duel with Dad for most of his training. He has an advantage against these guys.
"Keep still, you bastard!" Norrix grunts, having difficulty landing a blow on Gideon's face.
When there is an opening, Gideon has the chance to curl his fist and punches the large vampire in the guts sending Norrix flying back, knocking off three trees before hitting hard on the ground. After a few seconds, the large vampire never got up again. I watch the look on the female vampire, and the werewolf looks stunned and trembling.
"How is that possible?" Gina screeched, asking Rufus. I cheered Gideon on silently inside the house. "How is that possible for a werewolf to be that strong?"
"I don't know, Gina! Just shut the fuck up!" Rufus answered in an angry tone. He seems confused about why my brother didn't use his wolf form to fight a vampire.
"Who's next?" Gideon taunts, making the two rogues debate whether to attack or leave because they look at each other, utterly confused.
"You think your a badass, huh, pretty boy?" Rufus scruffs a nervous chuckle. "I'm going to show you the real power of a werewolf. So, pay attention, pup."
Rufus let out a growl as his body shifted, but instead of looking like a giant wolf, he looked like a wild homeless dog that hasn't with dirty brown fur that had a few bald spots and bore his canine teeth at Gideon. He dashes toward my brother opening his mouth to chew a head off, but my brother grabs Rufus' neck.
Rufus was snapping and struggling to bite Gideon, and when he didn't reach, Gideon tightened his arm around the neck and snapped it with one decisive move. I heard the crack clearly as if Gideon had broken a twig. He dropped Rufus' wolf body to the ground. My heart starts to thump from shock. I couldn't move because I was eager to see this end.
"Kill...Kill...Kill..."
The voice suddenly appeared, commanding me to see blood. I try to fight it off. The chant continues through my head, my heart is racing, and my breathing hyperventilates rapidly that I can't control. I can feel the rage building up to the point my body starts to heat up like lava. Then something inside of me snapped.
I ran out at light speed until I was in front of the female vampire. She tumbled back, scared at my appearance.
"Aneria, go back to the house. Go, Aneria," Gideon directed me to return, but all I could hear was the sound of my beating heart, and the vision I see is red like blood.
I grunt and moan, fighting off the temptation, but something inside overpowers me. I growl and grab the remaining rogue's neck and lift her off the ground.
"Kill...Kill...Kill her, Aneria..."
That last one was different. The voice had succumbed to my mind as it took over my body. My hand clutched tight around her neck as she begged for mercy. Tears were falling, and all I thought of was killing her.
"P-please...help...me," the vampire wheezes as she pleads for her life.
Ignoring her request, I growl at her with hostility. Gideon tries to call my name, but nothing can stop me.
