We look up to see if we could spot the islands from where we were. "I don't see anything. Since you don't know how to fly yet, I'll go up as far as I can to see if I can find it." Charlotte takes off into the air leaving me and Daniel alone. He sits and pats the floor next to him gesturing for me to sit next to him, I do so and lean on his shoulder. "This would be the perfect time for us to get to know each other seeing as how we've been getting pretty close." I start fiddling with my necklace and look down. "What do you want to know?" I sit up allowing him to turn to look at me. "Well what are the things you like to do, What's your favorite color, Why do you want to go to these islands so bad?" I don't look up "Well I like to draw and cook, my favorite color is purple, and I guess I wanted to find them for a sense of security, the note my mom had written said that if they knew whose daughter I was they would welcome me with open arms, but I guess I've already found that security along the way." I look up at him smiling. He smiles back and lays down, looking at me, as I lay down and look at him. "What about you? (But instead of why did you want to find the islands, it was) why did you want to come with me so badly?" he turns away blushing. "I like to make stories, my favorite color I'd say is black or gray, and uh, I wanted to come with you because...well to put it simply, I wanted you.~" there was a pause before he turned to face me, he then brought his hand to my face pushing back a strand of hair. He kept his hand there for a minute then kissed me. At that very moment, I felt that the world had not been there, the only thing that I felt was the sweet soft touch of his lips, to say the least, it felt magical and I knew that this was what I was missing for the longest time, I felt whole and at home. He backs up but not a lot, his warm hand still on my face, I smile and out of my peripheral I see something falling fast I quickly realize that it is Charlotte and spring up, start flying, and catch her. I look down realizing that I had flown. "Is she alright?" I see Daniel looking at me as I try and land. "I don't know," I say landing a bit awkwardly and laying her down on the ground. Daniel looks around for injuries and to see if she was still alive. "She's alive, she has taken head trauma and will wake up in about six to eight hours." I sigh in relief "I'm glad she'll be ok." Daniel looks up "I wonder what happened?" he looks back at Charlotte then stands "We should set up for the night." I nod my head and start getting a fire put together. After I finished I laid down and closed my eyes trying to sleep, shortly after I feel someone lay down behind me and take me into their grasp, I quickly whip my head around to see if I needed to fight but I'm greeted by Daniels' face snuggled into my shoulder. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you," he says feeling the jolt. "It's fine." I turn my head around and drift to sleep loving the warmth coming from Daniel.
