Chapter 13 - BEAUTY REGIMEN

CHAPTER THIRTEEN

Feifei put the dirty water back to the pail and poured it out at the back of the kitchens.

Cleaning the pail and basins he used, everything was put back to its place.

Getting the back basket full of his essentials, he also took the wet body wipe and went to the second floor.

He hanged the body wipe over the platform railings to dry. Then put the facial cream on his face.

His facial cream is made up of ylang-ylang, jasmine, sandalwood, vanilla orchid fruit and peanut oil.

This cream, he doesn't know why his Master insisted on this combination.

When he asked his Master why these particular scents, Master would just laugh like a lunatic!

Anyway, its all good as it prevents pimples, skin infections, and makes one relax.

Most of all, its very fragrant. Much so.

He is in love with this smell too.

All in all, his regimen is for making his skin look tender, soft, smooth and fragrant!

That's why he persisted on this regimen too!

He love it!

Now he is sleepy but his hair is still wet. What to do next?

He took a paper and reed pen and began to list the things he needed to buy. But he needs to check the storage.

And maybe cook something first to pad his stomach. What time would his cousin be home today?

Cousin doesn't even know he has arrived. Would he go home? Feifei contemplated.

Bringing his paper and reed pen along, he went down to the base floor and directly checked the food storage in the kitchen.

Aside from dried meat, there is a sack of potatoes, half a sack of fine, course and millet flour, half a sack of sorghum and japonica rice, a bag of sugar and salt.

Then there's a bottle of vinegar, soy sauce and a jar of lard.

He has to buy herbs and spices. Seeing the lack of herbs, my Master would faint dead away. He laughed at the thought.

With all these, he was thinking of just making meat buns.

Making the choice, he mixed an appropriate amount of both coarse and millet flour, took a little salt, sugar and lard for the dough.

He added warm water then mixed all of them together and started kneading for a while. Then he set it aside.

He took an appropriate amount of dried meat, washed the extra salt on it and began chopping it for the filling.

Then he added soy sauce, a little sugar and lard. Then he cooked it on low heat.

When it was ready, he replaced the pan with the steamer he prepared and kept it at low heat. He set aside the filling.

He then went out from the kitchen and went to the main house.

On the dining table, he began writing the things he needed to buy and left the list.

Seeing that its still early, he went out of the house and strolled the area for a bit.

He also wanted to air dry his still wet hair.

He began observing the stream, the path up the mountains, the village.

Enjoying the silence.

Then he just stood at the pathway to the village. Staring at nothing. Thinking about nothing. Completely at peace with himself.

He felt nothing.

He is nothing.

When he felt his head about to be split into two, he was suddenly jerked into consciousness.

For awhile there, something in him was stirring.

Something was buzzing.

But he also felt something....missing.

His heart is thumping crazily!

Weird.

It was like he was about to grasp something.

He shook his head in confusion and went back to the house to check the dough.

Seeing that the dough is ready, he punched it down and divided it into five big pieces.

He rolled out a piece, placed the filling at the center, folded the dough over the filling and pinched it to seal the edges. He did the same to the other four pieces.

Then he steamed it, adjusted the heat from low to medium adding a few firewood.

He went out of the kitchen and strolled at the backyard.

The backyard is quite sufficient for vegetable planting and raising a few chickens.

He has to ask where to buy seedlings. He has to buy containers for these seedlings too.

If only he knew how to build things. He can build one.

Sadly, all his time was spent on Medicine and Poisons.

He will have to ask his cousin before he leaves.

Looking around, he was looking for a place where he can hang the clothes after washing his soiled ones.

But found nothing.

What did my cousin do to dry his clothes?

Did he change his clothes since he came back here after his marriage? Feifei thought humorously.

All of a sudden, Feifei can feel his heart skipping a beat when a thought crossed his mind.

Should he ask help from Yuan?
