CHAPTER TWELVE
After checking the front door again if its securely locked, Feifei went to the storage room beside his cousin's room.
He took a back basket and placed inside all his bath necessities and his change of clothes.
He again took another back basket and placed inside all the soiled clothes he accumulated in his travel.
Going to the kitchen house, he placed the two back baskets on the table and filled three pails of water from the huge tanks on the first counter.
If only his cousin could somehow connect the stream to the kitchens.
Getting water would be convenient and effortless!
Taking all his soiled clothes and laundry soap, he put them in the basin for laundry. He will do the washing later.
Why is there no allotted place for bathing? No curtain or division?
It would be troublesome to carry water to the second floor, wouldn't it? And you have to bring down the dirty water too.
Not unless you just directly throw the dirty water outside the window? He laughed.
That would also do, he supposed.
He then closed the kitchen door, took out all his handiwork and is ready to take a bath.
His Master has traveled all around the world and has a lot of knowledge about plants and flowers and processing.
Feifei learned from the best!
Since his Master taught him medicine and apothecary skills, he treated him as a woman.
Thus, the many beautifying regimen that has long been a part of his daily routine since he was five.
His body soap is made out of ash, clay, rosemary water, mint and thyme.
It is very good for degreasing, cleansing and purifying skin and scalp. He use this soap for both hair and body wash.
His hair oil is made out of jasmine, rose, sandalwood, vanilla orchid bean fruit and peanut oil.
He use these oils due to its relaxing and calming effect. When he was five years old, he always had night terrors. Which affected his emotions and thinking.
His body cream is made out of peppermint, sandalwood, cinnamon leaf, pepper vine berries and peanut oil.
He use these mixtures due to its musky, spicy scent that reminds him of the scent of earth after the rain. Its very minty that he feels refreshed. It doesn't make his skin oily and dry. Just the perfect watery effect.
After cleansing his hair and scrubbing his body clean, he wiped his body dry and began his regimen.
He applied the body cream on his body from neck to feet.
Next, he washed his hands with soap and after drying his hands, he rubbed a little hair oil on his palm and massaged it on his scalp down to his hair ends.
He now feels alive!
He hasn't washed his hair for almost a month!
During his journey here, all he could do was to be content with wiping his body at the end of each excruciating day.
Which is torture for a person like him with cleanliness madness.
Not to mention the pus, abscesses and wounds on his skin and face when he took the poison. And he smells like rotten flesh!
Remembering his foul smell, he cringed his neck in disgust.
He was only able to breathe with relief when he arrived at Chryses Town which is only half a day away from this village.
He stayed seven nights at Chryses Town, took the antidote of the poison, waited for it to take effect and for the pus and wounds to scab off. He then scrubbed himself clean.
Another reason he stayed at Chryses Town was to check if he has been followed. Luckily, staying at the inn, he had no unwanted guests.
Unluckily, for the hired mercenaries he contracted, they thought he was dying.
Which made Feifei laugh to death.
So he paid the mercenaries off. He also asked them, by the way, to arrange a carriage to take him to Agantuk Town where he would like to spend his "last breath".
The hired mercenaries couldn't be happier to have their task finally completed.
Dont think Feifei doesn't know. These mercenaries have been tolerating his disgusting looks and pungent smell for quite a long time!
They must have long wanted to finish him for good!
Feifei smirked.
On the eighth day, at daybreak, he wore a dark veil, "struggled" to walk, "stumbled" a few times and was "shaking" violently before he got inside the hired carriage to Agantuk Town.
Walking to the hired carriage, he saw the driver's pale face!
But when he got inside the carriage, he can hear the mercenary's sigh of relief.
Feifei silently laughed.
But when the carriage departed, he was no longer laughing!
He was hanging onto his life! He can feel all his insides shaken and scrambled to a mess!
The carriage is running at a super high speed!
Feifei wants to cry.
The driver must be afraid he would die inside his carriage! Thus, the super fast expedition!
Instead of arriving at the next town by nightfall, he arrived at mid day!
That's when he witnessed the exciting warfare between women!
Feifei sighed in memory.
Taking the poison for safety, he really suffered in this journey.
Except for the herbs he has found along the journey, he painstakingly went through hardship just for his cousin.
But it was all worth it.
He has finally escaped from his marriage entrapment!
Now, he is free!
