The whole week I have been back in New Orleans I have done everything and some to avoid thinking about what happened the last I was in New York.
But a girl can only hope to keep shut away from the world for as long as she can because it eventually comes seeking you out.
"you sure you don't want to see it?" my assistant asks me for the third time and I can't help but roll my eyes and sigh when I turn to look at the view behind me.
"I told you, I am not interested in seeing nor knowing what the media has been saying. I am not that curious," I tell her. "And I am not ready," I mutter silently.
"It's really important because then you will be able to clear up the rumors. Otherwise, they are just going to continue with the speculations and they have been getting worse by each day you don't confirm," she says and I walk across the office, my stilettos echoing on the floor to where she is seated, and grab the iPad she is holding.
