"Now that we are done with the presentations and the reason you are here, we are going to do our first lesson," Takimoto said, "and it will be about Qi,"
Saeki raised his hand, "Qi is the circulating life force in our body, it helps us be healthy, increase physical abilities, and most importantly, it helps us generate supernatural powers,"
"Thank you, Saeki, so now, let's get to the training building,"
All the students left the classroom and followed Takimoto who left the Pagoda and went to the training building. Inside it was more than 50 students each training on their different abilities.
Blasts were coming from everywhere, a large brouhaha, and occasionally, the small ground shakes.
"Follow me," Takimoto said.
Each of the training sectors, strength, agility, qi power, precision, arena, and qi control fantasm was divided by large walls. In other words, when they entered the building, there was a path in the middle, and on each side was one sector, with on top of the entrance the name of the sector, for example, "qi power".
"This is big..." Yumiko whispered.
"Yes, and everyone comes to train here, luckily for you, we are the special division, so we have a personal training ground,"
Takimoto walked to the other side of the building, and beside the last two training grounds, the students saw a small wooden door. They entered it with Takimoto, and they found themselves in a chamber with a large gate in front of them and two disciples protecting it.
"This disciple salutes Profound Trial Master," Both Disciples bowed at the same time.
"We'd just like to enter the chamber if you may," Takimoto said in a tired tone.
They nodded their heads before moving two steps to the side, and the Gate opened. Inside the gate was a whole new environment. They entered, and in front of them was a large arena while beside them about 10 meters away were dummies placed on the dry sand, and further away beside them was a small wooden house.
Ryu looked far beyond the Arena, and he realized that there was a large forest, however beyond the forest, he contemplated a large mountain whose peak was hidden by the clouds.
"Was that an itinerantur gate?" Nanako asked curiously.
"Yes, it is," Takimoto nodded, "now, our classes will mostly happen here, so, follow me, everyone,"
Takimoto walked towards the seven dummies both aligned perfectly about 4 meters away from each other.
"Each of you gets in front of a dummy," Takimoto ordered, "now then, I suppose each of you knows how to use what we call 'qi cloak'?
Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.
"Qi cloak is just like charging your fist with more power basically, and it can increase your punch damage. However, there is something even more powerful which can help you have 2x more damage than with qi cloak,"
Takimoto lifted his hand and enveloped it in a blue qi cloak, "As you can see here, I am using a qi cloak on my fist,"
He then punched a free dummy and it got smashed into pieces. Everyone looked with a surprised expression, admiring how strong he was.
Suddenly, another dummy spawned out of crystal-type pixels.
"Isn't that Hazelwood? Even a Profound master wouldn't be able to deal that much damage with qi cloak..." Saeki thought while having an astonished expression on his face.
"This deals more damage than without qi, however, if you don't concentrate on maintaining your qi on your fist, but focus on releasing your qi on your fist, then you will have a different result,"
He lifted his hand once again, and this time, enveloped his hand in flaming blue fire. That was his qi however, this time, rather than being retained on his fist, he released the qi retained.
Once again, he hurled his fist towards the dummy, and when the punch was about to touch the dummy, he stopped it straight in front of the dummy, and a large blow traveled around the dummy dragging it away because of the pressure too.
The blow extended miles away and lasted for not less than 5 seconds before ending. All the kids had their hair completely messed up due to the blow, and their eyes were wide open. This is what a Profound Trial Master was capable of and it wasn't even half of his power.
"This is the benefit of using 'qi release'," Takimoto said, "now, I'll leave you, kids, to it, and I want to see results. Remember, do not think of imprisoning the qi, but releasing it, however, you must still be the one in control,"
"Wait, you can't just leave us and expect us to learn qi release in a few hours!" Ryu shouted with a confused expression on his face.
"I never said in a few hours, it will surely take you a few days, this will also be a great occasion for you to live in the outside world, hunt for your food, and get to know each other," Takimoto smiled and waved at them before leaving through the itinerantur gate.
Ryu watched Takimoto leave while the others were already working on the qi release. Despite them all struggling to find the solution, they were trying very hard. When he saw everyone staying calm and not complaining, he decided to cope with it and get to work as well.
'He said that the key to qi release was not restraining qi, but on the contrary, let it free,"
Ryu closed his eyes and focused on the training. and felt the qi flowing around his body. He directed the qi to his fist and concentrated it in that area. However, there was just one problem, what does it mean to release your qi.
'I can focus my qi in one point, but how on earth am I going to let it free and control it at the same time...'
He decided to use a qi cloak, and slowly release more and more energy. It was going well, and he could slowly see small white pale flames coming out of the palm of his hand. The flame resembled a one lit on a candle, however, for Ryu, it was a good start.
"OHH!" Yumiko shouted when she saw the pale white flame, "It's only been about ten minutes and you've already made this much progress!"
Ryoto came closer to see the flame, "You indeed deserve your place in this special division, Ryu, tell me, how did you do that?!"
"It's simple," Nanako replied, "trying to act like sensei Takimoto and create a big amount of qi at the first try is stupid. All you have to do is start small, and try to increase the qi slowly and control it at the same. It just requires concentration,"
"Yeah, that's it," Ryu said looking at Nanako with a slight smile.
In the palm of her hand was a pale flame slightly bigger than Ryu's. Erina and Saeki who were next to her had the same idea as Ryu and her.
"I get it now!" Yumiko shouted before going back to her side to concentrate.
'Alright, now that I did the hardest, all I have to do is slowly increase the flame, I can't start big, so all I have to do is concentrate, and not do too much...'
Ryu looked intensely at the flame, and slowly but surely, he increased it. For the past 20 minutes, he focused order to control the growing qi flame until it reached a certain level where it was nearly enveloping his whole palm.
'I think I have enough control to speed up the increase rate," Ryu thought.
Immediately when he tried to increase the qi flame faster, it bursted out of control growing higher until it reached a height above Ryu.
Everyone looked his way for the next few seconds before the while flames completely vanished. Ryu fell to his bum still stunned by the uncontrollable qi he had released.
His action distracted everyone, and one after another, their qi flame vanished.
"Damn it," Saeki shouted in frustration, "hey jackass, be more careful and go slowly you idiot, no need to rush!"
"Are you okay?" Nanako asked reaching her hand for Ryu.
"Yes, I am..." Ryu said as he was getting pulled back up.
"Stop acting mindlessly," Erina stated out of nowhere, "In order for this to work, you must go slowly, and give yourself time to control the qi you have released slowly. Your actions must be at the same level as your mind,"
Ryu nodded his head after listening to Erina and went back to his training.
'Let's take things step by step, my concentration is key to this training...'
