It feels so easy than I thought. I couldn't even find the gatekeeper and I wonder where he went to.
Anyways, I'm glad everything went so smoothly.
I take a cab straight home. Mom wasn't back when I walk in.
But the moment I settle down to cook something, the lock turns and the door opens.
I walk out of the kitchen to meet her, "Hi Mom," I smile at her.
She gives me a dark frown, "Where have you been?"
"Mom," I call and pull her to the chair, " You can't believe it. Hattie is back!' I yell happily hoping mom would swallow the lie hook, line, and sinker.
She smiles, "Wow, I'm so happy. I saw the news and I thought it was you."
" No," I shake my head slightly.
Gosh, I don't believe I'm lying to my mom. Well, I have to do this. It's very important.
