Adrian’s POV
Alicia and I head downstairs for breakfast after showering together and getting ready for the day. Now that I’ve marked Alicia, it feels as though there has been a shift in the way I view her.
I no longer see her as the daughter of my enemy, the one who killed my parents. Now I see her as my beautiful fated mate, the one I’m destined to spend the rest of my life with. It’s taken me a while to come to this conclusion, but I’m glad that I did.
Everyone is already sitting at the table beside Zane and Jean, which is unusual because they’re both always here before me. I wonder what could be keeping them from joining us.
“Good morning,” Michelle singsongs as she sets a plate of food down in front of Alicia and me. “How did both sleep?”
Alicia turns to me, her cheeks pink, waiting for me to respond. I bite back a laugh and smile at Michelle. “We slept great.”
