It’s the morning of the wedding, and I have been up since the sun rose to help Leila get ready for the big day. I have made sure that her hair is on point and the make-up is flawless, because as her best friend, I need to make sure that her wedding day is the best day of her life.
She did the same for me, so it’s only fair to return the favor.
It feels as though I’m a headless chicken as I run around the ceremony venue in the backyard of the house, making sure everything is set up to perfection. I check on all the nitty-gritty details that I know Leila would want me to check. Anything to put her mind at ease, considering I know how much of a stress case she can be at times.
