All the other hunters had left the room and it was just Irie, Miro, Kaede, and me. Rina had been away since we got back but I wasn't too worried about her at the moment.
She should be okay, just needs time.
"This all seems sketchy." A voice begins to say within my head.
"Zara?" I question with a confused tone.
"Yeah, sorry I've been asleep for awhile." She answers with an honest tone.
"Holy shit, I was worried you were gone forever." I say with a relieved tone in my voice.
"I'm okay." She replies.
Zara being alive was good, it meant my power wasn't gone anymore and that I could use it if needed now. I'm not sure what's going on though to be honest.
"Something is different. The demons have changed." Zara says with a concerned tone.
"How do you know?" I question.
"Give me a bit and I'll have an answer for you." Zara responds before going quiet.
I guess I'll head back to my room for the time being since I need to look over this packet that they gave us. I'm not even sure if this is a good thing or not yet.
"I'll meet you back in the room later Kamako." Irie says with a serious expression on her face.
"O-Okay." I reply before leaving the room.
I wonder if she's going to talk with Miro about this whole thing since she didn't seem to happy about it. I guess I'll see her back at the room later.
After a few moments I had made it back to my room but my door was already open, who was in my room?
Nonetheless I entered my room while on guard and to my surprise I was met with a new face. A woman with bright purple hair that seemed to go past her shoulders.
Her eyes also didn't seem human, they seemed to have some sort of spiral around them. Odd...
"Nice to meet you Kamako, I'm Vivian." She says while sitting on my bed.
"Yeah, nice to meet you too." I reply while pulling the chair from the desk out.
"No need, come over here." Vivian says while gesturing to come to her.
So I did exactly as she said and walked over to the bed, just taking a seat right next to her.
Something about her was sticking out to me and I couldn't figure out what it was since she was nothing like this during the meeting. Going from a shadow in the room to this just doesn't seem good to me.
"So what's up?" I question.
"Just wanted to meet the savior himself. You've got some crazy power there, but the world has changed a lot since you disappeared Kamako." Vivian says while leaning back against the wall.
"What do you mean?" I ask with curiosity in my voice.
"Demons have gotten stronger, and some humans have been dealt the wrong hand." She answers while staring at me.
"What does that even mean?" I question whike confused.
All of this is just getting stranger and stranger by the second.
"It's from the artifact and your power sending a shockwave throughout the world. It caused a huge change throughout everything, including hell." Vivian answers while looking up at the ceiling.
What happened to everything I knew before I disappeared? These kinds of changes are absolutely huge, but what did she mean by humans were dealt the wrong hand?
"Anyway, I'll be handling you and your division for the most part." Vivian says while changing the topic.
"Are you even human?" I ask with a curious tone.
"No. But that doesn't matter right now. It was nice seeing you Kamako, we'll talk more later." Vivian answers while getting up.
C Cup, great figure, and a nice ass as well. What a plus, but shit I need to focus on the real issues at hand here. She's not human either but that's nothing new for me since most of my companions aren't human.
But she doesn't seem entirely like a demon either so what could she be?
"Everything okay?" Irie asks as she enters the room.
Immediately my thoughts were interrupted but I think that's a good thing for right now since I shouldn't be stressing over it. I'll figure it out when I need to.
"Yes, just met Vivian." I answer while scratching my head.
"The safety commission person, she seems odd." Irie says with a worried tone.
"We should trust them for now, until they give us a reason otherwise." I reply while standing up.
I went over and looked at the mirror while Irie sat on the bed. Yes, we really do need to trust them for now since things are different.
Looking at myself in the mirror I could notice something different about my right eye, completely engulfed by darkness. After looking away and back at the mirror it was back to normal.
That was weird.
"At least we'll get to see Leo tomorrow, I'm sure he'll have some answers." Irie says while laying back on the bed.
"That's true. Best to enjoy the rest of the day." I reply while sitting at the desk.
This packet doesn't seem like a lot, but I'm sure they put plenty in it to make it worth the time to read. There's a lot that I'm confused about though, like those weapons that they said will be given by the commission.
Weapons, demons getting stronger, and humans being dealt the wrong hand. I want to know what all of that means, or how the artifact and my power causes it at least.
"Do you think jobs will be different?" Irie asks.
"Probably. A lot different from how we use to do them." I answer while slowly opening up the packet.
"This all seems so odd." Irie says while looking up at the ceiling.
"Nothing we can do about it." I reply with a calm tone.
Standards, Rules, Weapons, Jobs, and more.
Great, I could only wonder what else will change.
