Chereads / The Legend Of The Four / Chapter 15 - Desert Rabbit

Chapter 15 - Desert Rabbit

[Day 2- Nafeesa Al-Amin]

I wasn't able to sleep at all after seeing that horrible monster, whenever I would try to close my eyes, the only thing I would see was that monster's face and the continous growling of the monster's outside didn't helped much.

So to pass my time, I started checking out my skills that were visible on the blue box and I got a lot of wonderful skill that could easily increase my chances of survival by a lot.

[ [Soul Skill: Heal Lv.1] :

The skill granted to the user after their soul's inner potential is unlocked.

The skill grants the user to heal the wounds that has been inflicted on itself as well as others.

The skill recovers the HP of the target along with any physical wounds. ]

"This could save my life at the very last moment, just imagine I'm at the verge of death in between a battle"

My body shivered just imagining about beign so close to death's door.

"No let's not imagine that, let's imagine that I was very badly hurt, but was not dying, I could simply use this skill and be back to full health"

"This skill could turn the whole tide of any battle that I fight! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

I laughed like a maniac inside my head and I was quite of ashamed after doing so as I've never done this sort of things in my previous life.

"Am I changing after beign reincarnated?"

There is a slight chance it might be happening, but I don't have any solid proof so I will have to just not think about it.

I also have two really good unique skill which are on par with [Unique Skill: Inspect]

[ [Unique Skill: Consume]:

A skill granted to the user by the blessing of a Supreme God.

This skill allows the user to get the skill of anything it eats or consume. ]

[ [Unique Skill: Storage]

A skill granted to the user by the blessing of a Supreme God.

The skill allows the user to store anything it wishes in a space pocket which is only accessible to the user. ]

Both of the skills are extremely useful, one of them can help me store things so I won't be burdened by carrying them whereas the other helps me get the power of the beigns I eat and become stronger.

With all these different and useful skills by my side, I can easily survive in this world an become strong.

It's a new day I should go out and look for monsters to kill after all I wasted a whole day yesterday to make this burrow of mine, well it's not completely a waste.

God knows what would've happened if I didn't had this burrow last night, I might have had to face that monster.

There has been no noice from the monsters of the night for hours, so I'd decided to open up the entry to my burrow.

I opened a small hole at first and when I saw that there was sunlight outside I removed the barricade completely.

I went out and felt a refreshing sensation after the sunlight hit my body and it was because of my skill [Heat Absorption Lv.1], this skill is also very useful, it turn heat into energy for me.

I wonder if I remain out for a long period, will it level up or do I have to do something else to level this skill.

I also need to find a monster, then probably kill it and eat it or store it and bring the body here back to the safety of my burrow.

A lot to do in very little time, I don't wanna be outside after dark and face that horrible abomination, but I probably don't have to worry much as the sun had just rose up.

I need to follow a particular path so I don't get lost, so I decided to follow the path where the three sun rose from, so that i could come back to this place easily.

The sun was nearing it's peak and I've been walking for what seems like hours and hours with no monster or vegetation at sight.

"How big is this desert?"

"Is there anybody else apart from me and those disgusting monsters?"

"Am I all alone?"

The fact of beign alone with that sort of monster sent a shiver down my spine.

Just as I was contemplating about the fact of beign all alone in this vast desert which is filled with dangerous monsters at night, I saw something.

It was an oasis, the thing I've been searching for so long, finally all this walking is besting some fruits.

"Wait a minute Nafeesa"

"Don't rush into things"

I shouldn't raise my hopes, something smells fishy about this oasis, because it appeared out of nowhere.

I'm pretty sure I would've seen an oasis that big pretty easily with my twelve eyes, this could easily be a mirage or something like that.

I approached the oasis very cautiously and I was ready to attack with my stinger and even prepared an offensive skill in advance.

The oasis was very beautiful, there was a huge pond of water in the middle with light particles of different colors floating around it and there were huge date palms, they were taller than any tree I've ever seen before and it also had big dates which were the size of my pincer.

This made me question something about myself.

"Am I small or is this whole place just too big?"

"If i put it like that then will the 3 meter tall monster would just becoeme a normal sized one?"

Well it's not like I have some proof on that matter so I've to let it go, I'll probably have to find some other things to measure my height properly.

I went near the pond to drink some water as I've never drank anything since I've reincarnated or even ate something.

Even after that I didn't feel hungry or thirsty, this must be some scorpion thing that I don't know of.

As soon as I neared the pond my eyes fell on a sand colored rabbit with red colored eyes quietly drinking watering from the pond.

The rabbit's size was clearly smaller than me so it cleared my previous question.

It was still unaware of my presence and I started wondering how I wasn't able to find any until now.

I used my [Unique Skill: Inspect] on the rabbit just the way I had used on the abomination yesterday and blue box containing it's information appeared before me.

It's camouflaging skill was at a very high level, that explains how it was able to remain out of sight until now.

Unlike the desert the oasis was filled with grass, so it would be impossible for it to camouflage here.

I moved towards him with my skills as ready and tried to make as less noise as possible but as soon as I reached a five meter radius of it, it got alerted.

It's ears were raised and he turned his head towards me with his blood red eyes locked on me.

I thought it was going to run but instead of doing that it started to growl at me as if it was threatening me to run away.

I thought to give up and turn away but then I thought if I'm not even able to defeat a rabbit like this then how will I be able to take down a God.

It saw that I disregarded it's threat and kept on moving towards it so it charged at me with full speed.

It was going to bite my carpace but before it could do that I pinned him to the ground with my stinger using the skill [Paralyzing Sting Lv.1].

I was able to move my pincers and stinger way better than yesterday because I spent the whole night practicing it.

And also [Scorpion Instincts Lv.3] had a passive effect which gives me the knowledge on how to properly utilize my body so as it leveled up my proficiency also increased.

I removed my stinger from it's body but the rabbit still remained motionless as it's whole body was paralyzed.

I knew it won't last long as my skill level wasn't high, so I stabbed him again but this time I used [Poison Sting Lv.1].

it's HP was at 11 and the poison started working so it's HP kept dropping as time passed.

The body started moving again and it backed away a few feet.

It used it's skill [Illusionary Clone Lv.3] and it's body was divide into four.

I knew it was an illusion and only one of them was real.

All four of them came charging at me, I used my stinger again but the one I used it one disappeared as soon as it got stabbed.

The real one was able to tackle me but because of my high Defence it didn't caused much damage.

It created another clone as soon as one got canceled.

I didn't feared as this gave me the chance to use a skill that I wanted to use so badly.

It was [Fire Slash Lv.1].

My pincers erupted in bright orange flame.

The four rabbit were worried as their HP was at 7 now and the poison effect had wore off.

It didn't wanted me to use a big skill as it would mean death for it.

So it charged at me with all of his clone in attempt to stop me

The skill was ready to use as soon as the fire erupted.

So I used this chance and slashed all four of them.

Three body disappeared as soon as the fire touched them and the real body fell down on the ground lifeless.

"I WON!!!!!!!!!!!"

Ding!

Congratulations on defeating a Desert Rabbit!

You acquired 6 XP!

I got a notification from the blue box that I got some XP, if I remember correctly XP are used to level up and leveling up will give me the chance to evolve and evolving means I get my body back.

"Only 6???"

After fighting so hard I get only 6 XP atleast give me 10 so I could level up.

"I feel like I've been cheated "

As I was thinking I suddenly heard some noises of wailing coming from behind the bushes.

I activated my skill [Unique Skill: Storage] and a black hole appeared and I thought of storing the rabbit's body, then the black hole moved near it and sucked it clean.

After thst I could feel the body inside the space pocket that was connected to me through [Unique Skill: Storage].

I prepared my skills and went there on guard ready to battle again.

Behind the bushes was hole which was most probably the entrance to the rabbit's burrow, but it was too small for me to enter.

I had to dig more to find the source of the noise and then I found it and what I found really surprised me.

It was four desert rabbit babies, they stopped crying and looked at me with cute gazing eyes.

This explains why that rabbit was acting so strangely, it was trying to protect these little bunnies from me.

"Should I kill them?"

But they're so adorable and cute, if I killed them then I will really become a true monster after all who could kill such cuties.

"But I killed their mother"

That's a totally different thing, that was necessary for survival and for you to become strong.

"So should I take them with me?"
