Ding!
Your skill [Soul Skill: Inscription Lv.1] leveled up!
My mind was again assaulted with new knowledge as my Inscription skill leveled up, I learned how to write a new Inscription.
This Inscription was not that great, but could definitely come hand in the future, this Inscription allowed me to create a small formation that recovers my MP at the rate of 2 MP/h.
I didn't know the actual recovery rate of my body, so I couldn't exactly tell if this was a good rate or a bad one, but it could definitely speed up my body's capabilities even if it was by a little.
Then I remembered something, in the games that I had played in my previous life, intelligence stat was usually related with your MP recovery rate.
So I decide to use [Unique Skill: Inspect] on my Intelligence stat, then a holographic panel appeared in front of me containing it's description.
[Intelligence Stat:
A numerical value representing the Intelligence of a character under the surveillance of the system.
The higher the stat is the higher the MP recovery rate of the character is.
An average higher beign has the Intelligence of 40.
Current MP recovery rate: 5 MP/h ]
So I'm smarter than an average higher beign, which is probably humans and other creatures like elves and dwarves.
After all this is a magical world, I shoul also expect some magical creatures like them, I wonder if demon and angels also exist in this world, if they do then it wouldn't be much of a surprise but I would still love to meet them.
And my MP recovery rate is 5 MP/h so if I add it with the MP recovery formation it would be 7 MP/h .
So in total I would need 5 hours to recover my full MP, I guess it's not that bad, if I didn't had it then I would've had to wait 7 hours after depleting my whole MP, and with this it takes away two hours.
The cave was huge and it was probably empty because it was hidden by all the weeds outside, if I hadn't decided to move towards the ocean floor I wouldn't have even found it.
I decided to create the formation on the eastern side of the cave and again it took me more than twelve water bullets to complete it.
My water bullets skill leveled upto 5 this time, it seems like it's going to get harder and harder to level up the skills and my MP dropped to 3 to just carve this thing, but it's going to be worth it in the long run.
The Inscription looked like an infinity sign with weird symbols on each side and the best part about it was that it didn't required MP to activate, it required SP.
It took a whooping amount of 25 SP to activate the damn thing.
As soon as I activated it, I could feel the my MP recovery rate increasing, it felt like something warm was accumulating inside of me.
I concluded that warm thing was mana which was represented by MP.
I decide to stay in the formation for nearly 5 hours to completely recovery MP reserves, so when i do go out, I will be at my peak strength.
And during this time I also completed using [Unique Skill: Inspect] on every skill that I got so I will be ready when the time comes.
After all I can't stay inside this cave forever, at some point I'll require food and to get strong I'll also need to defeat some monsters.
After 5 hours I got out of the MP recovery formation fully refreshed and deactivated the protection ruin.
There were no sound from the previous fight coming and no visible water blades coming at my direction.
Unfortunately to use the protection ruin I will have inscribe it again as it was a one time use Inscription, maybe after leveling it up this problem will be gone.
The mark also disappeared as it was never there in the first place, so many water bullets and M gone to waste, I would sigh with sadness if I could.
Well there's no point on crying over spilled milk now.
I went out and thought about where should I go, a part of me was curious about all the blades of water and where they came from, so I wanted to go to that directory.
But at the same time, I was a little bit afraid as I might encounter the monster that was able to create such huge blades of water so easily.
At the end curiosity got the better of me and I decided to go toward the direction from which the water blades came from.
After swimming for a few minutes I came to a place that sent shiver down my spines, there was huge creater on the ground which probably larger than a kilometer and chunks of rocks thrown everywhere.
I couldn't even imagine the scale of the battle that had been fought in this place and the beigns that were able to cause this scale of destruction.
Fortunately for me, those beigns that were fighting were now gone and I started to analyze the battlefield hoping to find some clues as to what exactly happened here.
As I was doing this, suddenly out of nowhere a string made out of golden light came out of nowhere and attached to my body.
The string of light was very warm like the mana that I felt inside the MP recovery formation but at the same time it had something very different and very familiar at the same time.
It was as if the string was telling me to follow it, I was a bit skeptical at first but again curiosity took over me and I decided to follow it.
I know this curiosity is going to cost me a lot in the future but how can you not be curious in a whole new world which is filled with magical wonders.
After following the string I came across a seahorse monster which had light golden skin color and was laying on the ground, it had a huge cut on it's stomach.
Blood was still coming out if its wound but most of it had already formed a clot, but it was still unconscious probably due to huge loss of blood or something else that I may not know of.
It must have got hurt by the water blades that had been thrown everywhere and I also noticed that the string of light was coming from him and as soon as I reached him the string was absorbed back into it's body.
I decided to help this monster, hoping that it might end up as an ally and also because I didn't had the heart to kill someone who was hurt so badly.
And as I was thinking of how to bring him back to the cave with me, I had another percognition, I saw something black and dark coming towards our direction.
I bit the sea horse and pushed him to safety and sa soon as I did a huge ball of inky black substance came crashing at the spot we were just in and shrouded it in darkness.
I looked at the direction from which this ball came from and then I saw a black colored octopus with purple lined tentacles.
I used my [Unique Skill: Inspect] on the octopus and a blue holographic screen containing it's description appeared before me.

He must have been attracted here because of the blood that was coming out of this seahorse and there must be more monsters coming here .
I need to end this fast and take it back to the cave, otherwise other monsters would start cominga nd it would be game over for me all over again.
The octopus was clearly very angry at me for snatching its prey, so it launched another ball of ink towards my direction.
I tried to dodge but I wasn't able to move the seahorse at the same time, the ball landed near it and shrouded it's body in darkness.
I was not able to see it, the octopus started swimming towards the cloud of darkness wher the seahorse's body lied.
I launched two water bullets and fortunately I didn't miss, after all my skill level was at 5 now thanks to all the Inscription that I wrote back in the cave.
The octopus looked at me with clear anger in its eyes, I used my skill [Swirl Lv.1] and a small water cyclone appeared in front of me and I directed it towards the shroud of darkness.
It completely removed it and dissipate soon after, this move was like adding more fuel to the octopus's anger.
It created another ballnof darkness but this time it had a purple tint to it, this was definitely poisonous and it was coming right at me.
I tried to dodge but I wasn't able to get out of it unharmed, it hit my left side which cost me some HP and at the same time it also inflicted the Poisoned status on me.
My HP slowly started to decrease, there was clear joy in the octopus's eyes.
It moved towards me and it tentacles extended and was going to hit me, but before it could do it I bit it's tentacle using my skill [Bite Lv.1] with all the force I could muster.
It brought the octopus's HP to 13 and mine was no good either, I needed to end it fast as my HP was slowly decreasing by each minute.
I used my skill [Swirl Lv.1] again and pushed it towards him while I was biting him, as soon as he got caught in the miniature cyclone I let it go.
I created a ball of pure white light which shined brightly, it was very small in size but I could feel it's power.
I threw it towards the small cyclone in which the octopus was currently trapped and was also inflicted with the Confused status because of it.
As soon as the ball touched it, the octopus's body was enveloped in bright light which shined for about two seconds, after it was gone a charred body of the octopus remained.
I moved towards the octopus very cautiously as I could see in it's status screen that it had 2 HP left, I've to give it to him, he is very durable.
It looked at me, the previous joy and anger in it's eyes were nowhere to be seen, instead there was pure and utter despair.
It tried to attacked me with it's tentacles once again as a last attempt to survive, but before it could do it I conjured a bullet of water and shot it at him.
The tentacle dropped dead on the ground along with the lifeless body of the octopus.
Ding!
Congratulations on defeating the Inky Octopus!
You acquired 5 XP!
I knew I didn't had much time as my fight and the seahorse's blood must've gotten a lot attention, so I needed to get out of here.
I used [Uniques Skill: Storage] and a black hole appeared and swallowed the body of the octopus that I wanted to store.
I didn't had the time to analyze it as I needed to get back to the cave.
I dragged the seahorse's body with my mouth all the way back to the cave.
I put the seahorse inside the MP recovery formation which I left running as it didn't cost me anything and would run for free for a few days by itself.
Then I started inscripting another ruin of protection with whatever mana i had left and as soon as I finished it and activated the thing a notification appeared in front of me.
Ding!
Your skill [Soul Skill: Inscription Lv.2] leveled up!
And at the same time I received the knowledge about a new Inscription in my mind, this time it was a HP recovery formation.
This is just what I needed, but before I can inscribe it I needed to regain my MP back first, so I entered the MP recovery formation along with the seahorse, though the MP recovery got halved, but it was still working.
