"Don't overdo it you hear?" The doctor said and I nodded in gratitude two days later as they discharged me. Because of my magic block, I couldn't work magic and magic couldn't work on me. So I had to resort to normal medicine to heal myself.
I had lost a ton of blood from the lucky stab but after an overnight stay or two and some medical wizardry, I'd been released. I had a bag of pills to take to speed up my healing. The long way.
"Okay, thank you Doctor Kels." I smiled at the older woman and she patted my back as she turned to go back into the hospital as I walked toward Quen, who was leaning up his car.
"How are you?" He asked as he took my overnight bag and reached for a one-armed hug, I groaned when the movement hit the sore area and he let go.
"I am definitely better than I was." He opened the door for me and I slowly let myself into the seat, he closed the door behind me as he turned to go back to the driver's seat.
