"I used to believe in wishes too, but not anymore." I explained to him, my fingers still playing with my toes languidly.
"Why would you think that?" He inquired, sounding intrigued as ever, his whole attention focused on me.
I stayed quiet for some time, my busy fingers now clasped together on my tights before puffing out a deep breath.
"I once had a baby brother." The piece of information slipped out quietly.
"He was everything." I went on, the words coming out smoothly from nowhere.
Silas remained quiet, trying not to break the serene blanket of silence that suddenly surrounded us, only the far away sounds of people enjoying themselves and having fun resounded.
"And now, he's gone." My voice almost broke on this exact sentence but I forcefully swallowed it down, trying not to break down.
