"I believe you." she sighed and gestured for me to take a seat, which I did. Opposite hers as she went back to take a seat herself.
"Well?" I implored, leaning closer. "What is it?"
She sighed. "Elina, that was a hex that was designed to block your magic. Magic is a true law, and only a sly handed witch could cast such a spell. It probably required a human sacrifice, which means a warlock most likely cast the spell. Do you know of anyone who would be willing to go to such lengths to hide your magic?"
I had already begun shaking my head. "I have no idea, I don't recall ever ingesting such a thing."
"Hmm," she tapped her table. "You say you vomited it on your birthday?"
