It's not far away now, Beowulf thought as he walked now, still looking over his shoulders. The fact that no guards were running after him now meant that they hadn't found the men that he'd knocked out or none of them had woken up. Beowulf was thankful as he advanced, never wasting a single second.
Beowulf's heart pounded in his chest and he couldn't tell whether it was as a result of the risk he was taking or the fact that he was going to see Yuri again. Beowulf gritted his teeth as he stole a second to look down at himself. He was glad that he'd carried the clothes that Esme handed him, but as for Beowulf, that wasn't how he'd have liked to meet with Yuri.
Beowulf...he thought. Focus. Beowulf rearranged his thoughts as he asked himself if the guards ever caught him -- if they'd be any appearance to worry over at all. So, the most important thing at that moment was to get to Yuri before they had him in chains.
