"That would even be better," Beowulf said angrily in return even though he knew deep within him that Salome was right. He needed a strategy for his confrontation with his brothers but he was too angry to admit that. He was so upset that his brothers might have devised such a wicked plan against him. Planning against his mate was planning against him -- in Beowulf's books. Beowulf didn't think that he'd be able to forgive them if he ever found out that they knew.
