Kiaraa tossed and turned on her queen-sized bed for what seemed like a thousand times but still, her eyelids couldn't call it a day. She couldn't keep her head in a tranquil state.
'One sheep...two sheep...three sheep... " she counted inwardly in order to fall asleep but it looked like her mind was having another mind of its own.
Oh wow!!! How funny.
The night was so peaceful and quiet as it cast a perfect contrast to the turmoil that was going on inside her head.
She sat up abruptly with a deep frown and tugged at her hair heavily.
"Why can't I fall asleep? I was tired a moment ago wasn't I? "
Knock knock!!
By the sound of the door, she immediately slumped back on her bed, pulling the duvet over her head and shutting her eyes tight pretending to be asleep.
Shortly afterward, the knock came again but she still showed no signs of coming out of her pretense, and then the door was gently opened.
