The rain poured heavier with bright lightning shining like a silver snake in the dark sky which was heavily covered with dark gloomy clouds and the loud sound of the thunder was deafening.
The wind snarled harshly and the dull thunder roared like a cannon.
Kiaraa clenched her fists tightly and gritted her teeth. Her fiery amber eyes were red and a dark glint glimmered through them.
'Kill them all'
That was the only thing she heard in her head and she acted upon it as her life pivoted on it. Her hands had blood dripping from them and her face was stained with blood but not a single scar marred her beautiful face.
She darted her eyes towards the floor and looked at a total of eight men lying there with brutal injuries.
Unconscious?
No, they were dead.
They had planned carefully this time around, flattened the tire of her car so she couldn't escape. They believed she was some sort of weak princess as she portrayed herself to be.
But hell no, behind those fiery amber eyes and goddess-like face, there was a killing intent buried deep inside.
She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and stepped backward with fists still clenched. She didn't have the time to delight in victory when she felt a hard metal pressed against her head.
"This is your second death experience in just a span of a few hours, why don't you accept your fate Kiaraa, you were meant to die the moment your stupid father inaugurated you as his daughter" the voice coldly said.
A bitter laugh left her mouth. She looked calm on the outside as if nothing fazed her but deep down she was facing turmoil.
"Why me?" she whispered softly but the man standing behind her with a gun pointed at her head heard her.
"Why you?" he scoffed, "You being a Lee has always been a problem. Say your last prayer Kiaraa."
Kiaraa grieved inwardly, she honestly tried her best but she couldn't escape this time. For the first time, she wished she had a prince charming who would save her whenever she landed in trouble like those in the movies but the harsh reality of life hit her hard.
She felt hot tears spill from her eyes into her wet lashes but the rain washed them away immediately. She could not succumb to his wishes but she had no hope left. She felt the gun press tightly on her head and she winced in pain.
'I didn't mean to leave yet. I'm so sorry mother, father, sister Lili, brother Min, and my cute Kiyomi. I'm so sorry... I tried my best, I honestly did but they still succeeded. I promise I'll watch over you from above, so long family, do not miss me too much' she said in her head and a pang of pain whipped through her heart as she cried bitterly.
She took one last deep breath and then...
Bang!!!
The sound of gunshot roared through the storm and she closed her eyes tightly...
★★★★★
Ring!!!
The sound of the bell made Kiaraa sigh for the umpteenth time. She looked around the crowded hallway of Bayside Academy which was becoming empty with each passing second, put her textbook in her bag, took a final glance, and then shot the locker with a bang. The day just started but she felt really exhausted.
Kiaraa dragged her heavy feet along the hallway and headed for the direction that she knew so well, her high ponytail bouncing with each step she took. Finally, she spotted the familiar red-headed figure scribbling something on a neon-colored paper and a small smile rose to her rosy lips.
"Hey Baby," She said and the red-headed girl glanced at her with that big doe eyes which she had come to adore so much.
"You know from the way you are staring at me, it looks like I have done something terrible."
Kiaraa chuckled lightly at Yuna's words and pulled her in for a big hug.
"Hey Sana baby who broke your heart???, just tell me and I will beat that boy to a pulp," Yuna said patting Kiaraa's back lightly.
Kiaraa broke the hug and shot a deep glare at her. Yuna gave her that annoyingly teasing smile and she couldn't help but roll my eyes.
"Really?" Kiaraa asked and Yuna smiled even wider...
" I knew it, I knew it, I knew you liked someone" she grinned like a Cheshire cat "So who is he and why did you break your heart?"
Kiaraa flicked Yuna's forehead and she pouted with a slight yelp.
"No one, I mean no one can get into my heart talk more or less break it" Kiaraa stated matter of factly.
"Hmm... but you always sneak a peek at that cute guy from biology class, you sure you don't like him?" Yuna pretended to think and Kiaraa eyed her.
"Come on," Kiaraa voiced out and dragged her hand, "We'll be late for class and I'm not going to explain anything to you but just get this into your big fat head that I don't like boys, ok?" Yuna nodded like a kid but still flashed Kiaraa that teasing smile and trotted behind Kiaraa with her huge grin never leaving her face for once.
