Yggdrasil was a world filled with all different gods. A world where there was always fighting and no resting. It was the immortal realm of the gods. Some sought power and other knowledge. Some were evil or good. But what connected them all was the desire to become stronger. There was always more to gain. Their greed knew no bounds. Killing other gods just for power and fun. That was the mindset of most of them. It wasn't an issue because the gods when killed would just respawn at a safe point. That's why there was so much bloodshed because nobody had any concern.
In Yggdrasil, races were not definite. A god chose his race with his personality. If one was evil, he would become an unholy creature and the opposite. The looks of every god were how he would describe himself. They could change whenever they wanted, but nobody changed in the pursuit of power.
For centuries, the gods hunted and fought on the nine realms of Yggdrasil. Even gods can get bored with time. So they decided to head to the next realm where a new adventure would await them. But the most loyal ones stayed behind, not wanting to leave their achievements or wealth. Or they just stayed because they had a home and a family.
This one was one of the most powerful gods that existed. But as powerful as he was, he missed his friends. They abandoned him for the next realm. Leaving him and their children behind. He could not leave them alone. He loved them from his heart. They were their creations. An almost perfect image of their creators. He would never leave them.
Momonga was the Guild Master of the Pantheon of Nazarick. There were in total 41 gods in his guild. But not a single one stayed behind. Only him, only Momonga. He would die with his children rather than abandon them.
He knew that sometimes, it would all end. Ragnarök would happen. Yggdrasil would get destroyed and all that was in it.
Nazarick, Throne Room:
"How could you leave me, my friends!"
He was very unhappy that his friends did not share the same compassion for Nazarik as he did. It was everything for him. Without it, he would just be a monster, evil.
There was currently no one in the throne room. He was all alone. But not for soon.
The massive doors opened, and six figures entered the room.
Albedo: "Please, Lord Momonga. Don't spend the end all alone here! We want to be with you when all ends!"
They would rather die with their god than live. They were their eternal masters that gifted them life. Seeing one of them spending the end of the world alone breaks their heart.
Mare: "Y-Yes, Lord Momonga. Please, we want to be with you! Always!"
Aura: "Don't leave us alone, Lord Momonga!"
Momonga felt his nonexistent heart become overjoyed hearing their words. They loved him so much and he them also.
"Then come near my children. Let's go through this together."
They all sat near his throne that was made of pure dark obsidian. The [Throne of Gods] was a befitting chair for such a powerful entity. But with all his power, he couldn't bring his friends back. At least he had his precious creations with him.
Cocytus: "We. Would. Be. Honored. To. Die. By. Your. Side. My. Lord."
Demiurge: "We will never leave you, My Lord!"
Shalltear: "We love you so much. Even when the other Supreme Beings left us, you stayed behind."
Everyone was in tears. Even Momonga had black tears flowing down his skull. Albedo went quickly to wipe them away.
Albedo: "Lord Momonga I love you so much."
"I know Albedo, I love you too. I love you all!"
There it was. The end of the world. It would happen so soon. But for them, it felt like centuries. Being with one of their creators made them the happiest children in the universe.
"I can feel it. The realm is collapsing. Yggdrasil, the place we all loved so much, is becoming nothingness. How can I forget the memories we had here. Never would I leave this place. It is where I belong. Forgive me that my friends have left all of you here. I also would wish to see them again."
They all remembered their creators because for each of them they were the most important person for them.
Aura: "I don't understand why they left us. But you stayed. You would rather die with us than live again. We are beyond grateful to you. I'm so happy and sad at the same time. I don't want it to end, Lord Momonga! Please!"
Aura spoke for every guardian present. At this moment, she expressed all their feelings combined.
"That I cannot explain. It would break your hearts."
He knew the others didn't see them as real people and more as toys. He was not like them. Momonga cared for them as a parent.
Now, slowly but steadily, the realm was collapsing into darkness. They all knelt before Momonga before it all ended.
Demiurge: "It was a pleasure to have served under you, My Lord." He said that with a tone never heard of him.
Cocytus: "We. Are. Honored. To. Have. Served. You." After each word, he let steam out of his head, more than he usually would do.
Shalltear: "You have been a very benevolent maste-." More didn't come out of her mouth because she was breaking down from all the pain and sadness.
Aura: "You are really funny even when you looked scary first.-"
Mare: "A-And you were very kind to all of us."
Both cried like little children like when their parents would leave their homes.
Albedo: "My Love. I will never forget you, even in death." She was hugging him so tight that if he were a normal human, he would be crushed like an apple.
"I know. It was a good time."
