Emma POV
Emma could feel Logan trying to push through her mind block, but she kept him out. She blocked him through the bond as well. She couldn't let him get through to her, she knew he was going to come after her, to try and find her, but she couldn't let him. She had to do this alone, she didn't know why, she just knew she had to.
She could smell them around her, behind her. She could hear them following her. She hit the river and dived under and let the current take her downstream. When she couldn't hold her breath anymore, she surfaced. She couldn't smell them anymore. She climbed out of the river on the other side and took off. She had enough confidence in herself that they wouldn't be able to catch her.
