Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

Or so I thought...

With me having the highest of hopes that he was going to take me home, he didn't. Of course I was upset because we weren't done. Instead of taking me home, we went to this large fancy building that was about an hour or so away from the meeting place. As we reached the building and walked inside, I was astounded. The insides were just phenomenal. Everything was very modern and slightly futuristic looking. If I had to describe the interior decor, glass was everywhere. Glass stair cases, glass elevators, white and black marble counters, granite walls, high ceiling (obviously) and shoot the floor was even marble. White marble tiling to be exact. The lights in the building was slightly tinted yellow as well. There were also some amazing statues and paintings propped around as well.

My mouth gaped open. I was appalled as I looked around, since I never been in a place as fancy as this. I looked at Dante quickly and whispered,

"Is this your workplace?"

"Well no shit, omega. I own this building. Why else would we even be here? Also, close your mouth, you'll catch flies." I glared at him as we continued to walk.

"No need to called me 'omega' or 'Little Omega', Dante. I have a name." I informed.

"I'll call you whatever I want, little omega. Also, when you are in this building you either call me Capo, Mr. Capo or Mr. Mantus. Got it?" He instructed, well more like demanded. I rolled my eyes. Wait a minute, I forgot about something and just hit me.

My old job.

"Hey, what about my old job?"

"Don't worry about that. Got that taken care of." He said bluntly as we reached towards the front desk

"Good afternoon, Mr. Capo." This female front desk attendant smiled lightly as she grinned at Dante. This woman looked professional. She had a light blue blouse on and her hair pinned in a bun. She had brown hair and green eyes. They weren't as green as Dante's, who's still looks similar to my old friend Aspen, but they were a nice shade. I took a whiff of her scent and she smelled really sweet. If anything I know, she could be a beta or an omega.

"Afternoon, Ms. Millus. Mind telling me if you have seen Aydrus around anywhere?"

Aydrus? I wonder who that could be?

"Ah, I have not to be frank. If you'd like, I can call and see if Mr.Lipton is in."

"Nah, that's fine. Thanks, though." He assured then thanked this woman. She then slightly blushed then nodded. Well looks like 'Mr. Capo' has gotten some secret admirers.

"Come now, Chann. Let's take the elevator. We're going towards the 15th floor, which is where both of our offices are located." I didn't rebuttal. I just nodded as he gestured me to make my way towards the elevator. When we reached to the elevator he pushed the up button.

"What's the down button for?" I questioned.

"Garage." He stated simply as he put his hands in his pockets and stared at me with no enthusiasm. I studied his face some and he looked so tired, or maybe it's just the dark circle under his eyes.

It didn't take too long until the elevator to finally reach the base floor. Dante gestured me to get. I quickly got in with Dante following right behind me and pressed floor 15. The ride up there was pretty silent until Dante said something.

"I bet you're wondering who Aydrus is." He spoke as he digged in his pockets and pulled out a sucker.

"You must love suckers, don't you?" I remarked as he tore off the wrapper, put it in his pocket and stuck the sucker in his mouth.

"That doesn't answer my statement."

"Well, I mean... Not really?" I questioned with uncertainty. I mean, I was slightly curious, but was I completely obsessed with knowing? No.

"That's a fucking lie." He snickered. This man just have so much audacity

"How would you know?"

"I know a lot of things that you don't Little Omega." He smirked as he swirled his sucker in his mouth. I studied him closely. His posture, his tidiness, and his body. He had a pretty lean and muscular body type. Not half bad if I say so myself. His aura had a familiar aloofness to it but still had a bold feeling to it.

"Awww~ Looking at you staring at me." He started flirtatiously tease me. My eyes widen as the elevator door simultaneously opened. I was the first to walk out, kind of ticked off by his teasing. I wasn't staring! Just studying his physique is all...

"Shut up." I irritably snarked at him.

"Feisty as always, I see. You never changed, did you?" Dante questioned that last part to himself quietly, but I still heard it and stood in my tracks. Hypersensitive hearing of a wolf is just amazing. Besides all of that, what did he mean, 'You never changed'? Is he talking about me?

"Hey, Little Omega. Keep up and stop standing around so much." Dante shouted as he was a lot further ahead of me than I last recalled.

"Ah! Sorry!" I called back as I rushed back to his side. As we were walked down the hallway, I took a good scope of my new workplace. Very spacious, and neat. Some people who were working on this floor greeted Dante either very nervously, flirtatiously or cheerfully. He seem pretty popular. Well.. I mean, he is the CEO after all. I wonder what kind of work these people do on this floor anyways.

Not too long of walking, we came across this gigantic set of doors that separated whatever was behind that door and the office space that was behind us.

"Hold on." Dante muttered as he held up a finger and then digged in his pocket. He rummaged around there and pulled out a key to stick inside the door. As he unlocked this door, he opened it which revealed this massive office space. It had loads of book shelves filled with nothing but scattered books and paperwork, two large desk, one which I am assuming is mine, a seating area that consisted two black three seater leather couches, and what I am assuming a 170 inch tv hanging on the wall. Everything else was decore that brought this room together. Modern and slightly futuristic. Now trust and believe me, this room looks fantastic. The downside was that the room was messy.

"You'll be working in here with me for now on, alright? Also, sorry for the mess. Ever since I fired my last secretary, this place has been a mess." He said scratching neck shamelessly as he pulled the stick of his sucker out of his mouth and threw it in a nearby trash can.

"Uh huh... So what do you want me to do about it?"

"Clean it, duh. Unless you had something else in mind." He provacately suggested. I cringed in disgust.

"I rather clean." I declared as I started picking papers and books off the floor. Why are they on the floor on the first place?

"By the way, I forgot to mention this. So you remember Aydrus, right?" He started as he made his way to his desk and turned on the pc that was sitting on top of it.

"Uh, yeah? What about them?"

"He is going to be your supervisor for a short tem and trainer. The man's good at his job and is a pretty close friend of mine." I hear him say as I picked up more things. My face might have displayed as something as displeased, because I heard a chuckle from him.

"Don't give me that face, Little Omega. I'll make sure he will treat you with care, okay?" He chimed eerily cheerfully. I gave him a quick glance and saw him smirking to himself as he was clicking away on his computer.

As I was picking these things up, I began to wonder what to do with them.

"Mr. Mantus, what should I do with these things?" I questioned as I held the items up for him to see. I saw him cringe slightly when I called him that and raised my eyebrow. I thought he wanted me to call him that while on the job.

"Book goes in the shelves alphabetical order. Paperwork is the same, but look at them closely when you put them in files. Each of them have important information."

"Can you give me an example, please?" I asked nicely. Dante averted his eyes and thought to himself for a bit. He then got up from his seat and walked towards me. When he got near me he pulled out two of the papers I was holding from my hands.

"Okay, you see the names right?" He queried as he pointed at a name called Markus Hemsway.

"Yeah.." I slowly say, waiting to hear what he had to say next.

"Okay, so as you can see he is a patient and is one of our debtors. It states how much money he has borrowed from me and when he is supposed to pay me back."

"Okay.." I nodded as I listened.

"Now here is this paper." He spoke as he switched out the papers.

"Right here is a person who is hoping to have a partnership with this company. It tells what kind of partnership they want and the duration of said partnership. You should know considering you was in a meeting that dealt with partnership of another business and I hope you wrote down the important information of said meeting." He eerily anticipated. I nodded and told him I put those files on what I assumed was my desk.

"Alright then. When filing, I tend to separate my drug dealing, loaners and partnerships instead of grouping everything together. They all have a separate shelf and filing color. Black is for partnerships, blue is loaners and grey is for drug dealing. The loaners are organized by name and how much they borrowed and owe. Each section has a sticker as you can see on that shelf over there. That is one shelf that I keep my loaner files at. Now on those stickers they have prices that ranges from the lowest of people borrowing and owing 100 dollars from the company to people borrowing and owing hundreds of thousands of dollars." He instructed. He continued to instruct me for a good 20 minutes until I got the jist of what I was supposed to do filing wise.

"Alright then, Little Omega. I hope you enjoyed your special one on one tutoring with me. If you ever need anything else, let me know." He playfully smirked and he winked at me as he returned to his desk. I rolled my eyes and went back to cleaning up.

"Oh, I forgot to tell you your schedule. You will be working every day from 8am to 7pm on Mondays and Thursdays and 9am to 8pm Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. I'll email it to you. Actually, I'll just text it to you since I don't have your email right now." He informed while he pulled out his phone.

"Wait a damn minute... You expect me to work 11 hours for five days a week?! Are you fucking insane?!" I exclaimed angrily.

"This is why I said you should have read the contract. It explained how much you were getting paid and your treatment. You get paid $92.50 an hour and three 50 minute long breaks. You also receive checks weekly." He nonchalantly stated as he finished typing on his phone and placed it on his desk. Not too long after that my phone buzzed, but that wasn't important. The important part was that I was getting paid $92.50 an hour, which was insane for me. If the math is done right, I'll be getting paid about $5000 every week! Well, before the tax, of course.

"Uh huh, look who isn't complaining anymore. Anyways, no more slacking. Get back to work." Dante demanded as he dove his nose back into his computer and now mounds of paperwork that he placed on his desk.

"Okay, Capo." I happily obliged.
