There was 'ding,' and the doors to the elevator opened. The pad displayed '8.'
"So, this is where I get off. Let's meet up when it's time for the banquet."
I told them.
They nodded at me.
"Text me if you need anything."
I said as the elevator door closed.
The elevator proceeded to go upwards. I walked down the hall.
"702... 703..."
I read out the room numbers as I passed by. As 799, I'm down the hallway. It'll take a bit of time to get to my room.
I opened my purse, which I took last second as a carrier for my phone and fan, taking out my phone, I looked at the time.
"7:58 am. There's still an hour and thirty before the banquet. I'll get to my room and then tour the place. Apparently, the Garden of Eden is a good place to visit."
I said to myself, putting my phone away.
"Oh, I love the Japanese!"
Turning up, a man was smiling at me with his arms out. Talk about expressive. Hmm... I feel like I've seen him before.
"Wait a minute, you're not Japanese, are you?"
He asked, slightly sceptical.
"No, I'm not. I'm just into Japanese culture."
His sceptical look morphed back into a smile, an even bigger smile this time.
"Me too! I love your kimono, miss! Those chrysanthemums are amazing! Please tell me your name."
If this was anywhere else, I wouldn't. Besides, I feel comfortable talking to this guy.
I placed my hand on my chest and appealed to him.
"I am Anastasia Kou Sabre Reishville. I have more middle names but this is the official shortened version."
"Ah, of course! Of course, a British young woman like you would know the beauty of Japanese culture! Please, call me Rejan."
The man gave a prideful smirk.
"Rejan?"
I repeated.
"I am Rejan Ivanovich."
He said, cutting it short.
"Oh!"
I gasped, realising who he was.
"You're Rejan Ivanovich! The man who makes quality alcohol and drinks! You've been releasing more and more batches of your latest wine, Crimson Dementia, by the day."
He knew I would know who he was. That's why he's standing before me so gallantly.
"Yes! You know of me, Miss Reishville! Please, you can get any wine from me for free! Of course, don't try and make me bankrupt!"
We both let out a gentle chuckle.
"Well, it was an honour meeting you, Miss Reishville. I must get to my room. Bye, Miss Reishville."
"Bye, Mr Rejan."
And he left.
I continued to walk ahead.
Wow, who would've thought I'd be meeting one of the best winemakers in the world today?
His wine isn't only sold to Streia but to the ordinary people of the world. Saying he's in the top three winemakers wouldn't be an exaggeration.
After a few more minutes of silence, I saw an elevator at the end of the hallway. It's good to know that I don't have to walk all the way down there to go down.
I turned to a door and looked at it. The number '799' was written on it.
All of a sudden--
[Door number confirmed. The wearer can enter the room freely as long as they wear their earbuds.]
They made these earphones the key to our doors too. To be honest, I didn't even notice that they didn't give us a key.
I opened the door and closed it.
It was a nice spacious room. Larger than my room at Akane's place. I walked in and took off my kimono.
I feel bad since it took Calira a while to do the sash.
I'm wearing a dress under it, so I can have a bit more freedom. It's a black dress which is similar to Akane's lycoris-patterned dress but with no patterns.
"Well, I guess I should explore now."
Seriously, the reason I'm doing this is because I don't want to be stared at by nobles for having a nice kimono.
They're greedy. Some will do anything to get what they want.
Time to explore.
---
I know it's about 8:10 am, or so, now but this place is practically filled. There're so many nobles here. So many nobles from England, specifically. I notice some of them.
Like Ethan of the Vonn Abragail family of Manchester. He seems to be with Rachel of the Sanderlayne family. They both know me, so I don't want to interact with them. Especially since I've been in Japan since March.
What would be the worst would be meeting my family or someone I knew from school. I left school at the start of March, which was still going on in England, but here, there was like a week or so until schools would close for spring break.
Meeting anyone from Altheria, on the other hand, would be amazing.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
Someone said from behind.
It was a man. The fact that I recognised him was annoying.
I know who he is and he, probably, knows who I am. We've never met but I'll give off the feeling that I have no idea who he is.
"Yes. That is why lots of nobles are infecting this garden."
The man chuckled a little.
"Just as I expected from the oldest daughter of the Reishville family. Insulting nobles like your father."
"I am not like my father."
I adamantly said.
"Yes, yes, I understand."
"So, who are you? Why have you come to see me specifically?"
"Because you are beautiful, that is why."
Like I expected.
Krüger Iternia. A German Magus known as the Flirtatious Magus. Since he flirts with women a lot.
"You still haven't asked my first question."
"'Haven't?' That is very informal, do you not think?"
"Sorry, my speech seems to become crass when talking to absolute morons."
The man hopped backwards slightly and put his hand to his chest, saying 'ouch,' sarcastically.
"Anyway, my name is Krüger. Your new fiancè."
I simply stared at him with disgust.
"What's with that look?!"
