Chapter 99 - Exodia 99: Will he like me?

"Oh, so you're Kuroha."

"No way..."

Kuroha looked at the man in front of her with shining eyes of admiration.

"You aren't Gedo Sasaki, are you?"

The man blushed slightly.

"Uh... Well, I am."

Suddenly, Kuroha took up his hand and shook it frantically.

"I'm a big fan!"

"Uh, oh... Nice..."

This was a new experience for Gedo Sasaki. Well, it was new for teenagers to recognise him and admire him.

"I loved your biography! The story about the Excalibur expedition was wonderful! The details and the storytelling were amazing!"

"T-thanks..."

He said, scratching his head.

Kuroha had picked a book out from the library in Altheria and she read this when she first arrived. She fell in love with the book and its storytelling specifically despite it being an actual real story.

"Alright, we're going upstairs."

Kei dragged Kuroha by her collar and dragged her upstairs.

"N-no! I still haven't gotten his autograph!"

"You can get Dad's autograph later. Just put your stuff in my room."

And so, Kei and Kuroha spent their time unpacking.

Kei seemed nervous for some reason. She stopped being nervous when she was asking a question.

"Hey... What's Shoya like?"

Kuroha looked at her, confused.

"Wait, but, isn't he your brother?"

"Yeah, he is! But... All this time, I thought he was normal, so I distanced myself from him and shut him down, despite wanting to get close to me. Now that I know he's... you know, I want to know more about him."

Kuroha was not expecting such an answer. It made her slightly... happy. She gave a soft smile before saying.

"Well, you should ask him when he comes back, wouldn't that close the gap in your relationship?"

"But, what if he notices my sudden change in behaviour?"

"And what? Shoya wouldn't hate you because of that."

Kei blushed slightly and focused on unpacking. She muttered, 'good to know,' under her breath.

[27th June 2019]

"Yeah, no, I'm not doing this today."

I told Aden-Lada.

Yeah, I've been trying to beat Aden-Lada for 6 days and I'm fucking getting nowhere. At least I'm not getting smacked around like with Aether.

I was walking away toward Reinhardt's quarters and Aden-Lada was following me. Apparently, I could 'defeat' her when she's holding back but...

I can't! Because she has no idea how to train someone!

Each time, I had the upper hand, she stopped holding back! Like the fucking time she fucking bit Erebus!

She's so annoying.

"Come on! Don't go, I'll hold back!"

"No way!"

I busted open Reinhardt's doors. He looked down at me from his throne. In each arm was a woman, covered in nothing but a white cloth.

"What is it?"

He did not seem bothered by my intrusion. I'll take advantage of that.

I ignored the fact he had women on him.

"Can we start our training?"

"Hm? Why? I thought that you are still training with Aden-Lada?"

"Yeah but, you should know that she's a shit-eating teacher. She can't teach for fucking shit. I'm sick and tired of it!"

"Hey, don't say it like that..."

Aden-Lada scratched her head, nervously.

Reinhardt looked at Aden-Lada for a second before looking at me.

"Fine then..."

The man stood up from his throne and moved his hands closer together. I thought he would do something but he was... clapping. Even the women beside him were clapping.

"Huh?"

"Congratulations on finishing your training."

Both Aden-Lada and I looked at the Green Emperor confused.

"Wait, what about you?"

"I was never meant to train anyone. I knew that Aden-Lada would not be a good teacher since she does not like losing. The purpose of that last battle was experience and, possibly, applying everything into that battle."

He said.

"So... what do I do now?"

"We'll return you home in a few days. Probably by Sunday."

That's in 3 days.

"Uh, what do I do now?"

"Whatever you please."

This is all so sudden. Definitely not what I was expecting. Anyway, I can just tell from looking at myself that I've grown stronger.

With Lilith's advice, I can even train myself to get even stronger.

This ending is a bit too abrupt, isn't it?

To my training, I mean...

I stretched my arms and gave Aden-Lada a cheeky smile. She glared at me in jealousy.

I think I'll rest. After those 6 days of continuous fighting, I think I need one.

"Man... Why is every day so boring?"

A girl said, sitting on a throne in some sort of tomb or dungeon.

She was surrounded by armour-clad red knights and there was a golden knight next to her.

"I want someone on my level to enter this dungeon."

The girl pouted.

The golden knight motioned to her, by bending over and tapping her shoulder. The girl broke into a tantrum.

"Oh, god, yeah, I know, Chrysus! I can't leave here because I'd otherwise be breaking the contract, yeah, yeah!"

She turned away from the knight with a sour look on her face.

"It's boring though! The only way for me to get out of here is if someone comes in here but it's been 7,000 years and no one has step foot in here! Not since... Not since Master..."

The girl sulked, remembering the glorious figure of her master. The golden knight, Chrysus, silently peered at her without saying a single word.

Suddenly, the girl went back into her lazy pose, while sitting, and began talking.

"Man... The past 2 months have been fun. I love watching this Shoya Sasaki guy!"

The girl cheered.

"I love him! The fact that he was normal before the 11th of April is amazing! He went from no one to an Emperor! Now he's strong!"

There was a holographic image in front of her. In the picture were Shoya, Weissmann, Hysaka and Ophelia.

"I wonder if we meet if he'll like me?"

Fluffy fox ears peeked out from the top of her head. Just like her hair, the ears were white. She also had a large soft tail, which protruded from under her skirt.

"He's always with that cat girl so he should like me. I mean, I am a fox... He should like me, right?"

The girl inspected her tail and massaged her ears.

"Chrysus, will he like me?"

The golden knight bowed.

"You really think so?!"

The girl asked, slightly excited.

Chrysus bowed even lower.

She cheered.

"Alright! Now, if I ever meet him, I can ask for a battle and we'll see who's stronger!"

The fox girl seemed delighted by the thought.

Suddenly, Chrysus pointed at the man with ash-blonde hair.

She stopped smiling.

"Him..."

She glared at the image of Weissmann with her piercing blue eyes.

"He truly did create a New World Order. Now, the Black Emperor will eventually be revealed to the world and a new force will rise to get the Fool. Meanwhile, he has the power to do nothing. Since he's dead, after all."

Chrysus nodded.

"In the meantime, I want Shoya to visit this dungeon. I wonder how he'll be able to do that... Maybe... I can force it..."

A cheeky smirk appeared on her face.

"Maybe... I'll be able to meet Shoya sooner than I thought."

Then, a maniacal laugh came out.

She laughed. And laughed. And laughed. Until she began coughing and Chrysus patted her on the back.
