"Judgement... What are you--"
"Ah, I forgot to tell you. I have a proper name I made for myself. Ragnarok."
The man stared down at him.
"Ragnarok. 'The doom of the gods?' Do you truly wish to follow through with your wish to kill me?"
"Yes, Father. You are weak from your battle on Altria."
The man had an eye bandaged and the same was for one of his arms. His ash blonde hair became visible and so did his piercing yellow eyes.
It was Regulus. He was Father.
His hair had become slightly longer and he grew a small moustache and goatee despite it barely being 10 days since the attack.
It was due to his maid's, Ophelia's, given healing Singularity. The way it works is that it rapidly ages the target and their injuries heal with time.
Of course, for a normal human, this would be both an advantage and disadvantage but for an Emperor, that was a different story.
Regulus' attention was focused elsewhere. He looked behind Ragnarok.
"Tower, Star, Justice, Devil. Show yourself."
Two women and two men appeared from behind him. Regulus seemed slightly annoyed.
"Since Judgement gave himself a name, I assume you all have as well. Introduce yourselves."
He demanded.
A white-haired woman went first.
"I am Tower. My name, now, is Titania."
Her hair was long and silky without any colour to it. Her eyes were midnight grey and they had shadows under them. Her skin was abnormally pale. Just like her hair, it had no colour to it. She wore a nun's outfit and had her hands clasped together to her chest.
Next was the other woman.
Though she was a woman, with her outfit on, she looked like a beautiful man. Her hair colour was between navy blue and black. It had been tied up into a thin ponytail. Her eyes were similar to ice. A nice but pale blue. She wore a special outfit, which looked similar to a suit but looked otherworldly and had a cloak at her shoulder.
"I am Star, currently Ishtar."
She said with a soft smile.
The next was a boy. He looked like he was meant to be in high school. His hair was neat and combed. His eyes were pink. He wore glasses and a suit.
Nothing was interesting about him. He was plain.
"I am Justice. My name is Ephraim."
Beside him was another. He seemed slightly unruly.
He was chewing gum as he used his pinky finger to scrap his ear canal. His skin was darker than the others and his hair stood up, on end, angled a little backwards. His hair was white while his eyes were green. He wore a coat and dark clothing.
"I was Devil but now I'm Asmodeus. Nice to see you again, Dad."
"So, you five have decided to betray me."
Regulus said, his tone getting slightly angrier.
Judgement smiled.
"Yeah. Basically."
He replied.
"What is your goal?"
"The same as yours, Father."
Titania said, rather reserved.
Though she seemed a bit distant, her tone displayed confidence and did not have any sign of shyness.
"We plan to get the Fool and complete the Summoning."
Ishtar said.
Then, Regulus stood up and began walking down his stairs in a huff.
"You fools! Do you know what will happen if you decide to summon them into this world?!"
"But that is your plan, Father. We simply decided that we're good enough to carry it out ourselves."
Ephraim told him.
"You are all merely successful Tarots created from decades of embryos. You could not possibly contain and command that person!"
He had finally gotten to the bottom and faced all five of them.
Ragnarok sighed.
"You see, Father,"
Red mist began to leak from Ragnarok's body like mana. It did not leak outward, into the atmosphere, as mana does, but it stayed around him in a certain shape.
"I gained a new power after speaking to that exact person."
The boy looked at his hand and gave a sinister smirk.
"You... You couldn't have..."
Regulus looked at Ragnarok in disbelief.
"Not just me but the four behind me too. We are no longer merely experiments but beings on par with the Emperors and Mortal Sins. We can kill you."
Ragnarok aimed his palm at Regulus. From a red 4-point star, on his palm, red mana escaped and turned to liquid as it formed a ball of red water. Blood, even.
Without warning, the ball of blood was fired at Regulus. He did not have any time to block, and, so, the ball hit him and then the throne behind him, which collapsed after coming in contact with the ball of blood.
From Regulus' spot, nothing remained. Nothing but a lower half. It fell over after a few seconds.
"Asmodeus."
Ragnarok said, retracting his hand.
"Right."
Asmodeus spat his gum out and focused on Regulus' body. Suddenly, his eyes changed colour and became red. The irises became a purple pattern.
"He's dead. Guaranteed."
The man confirmed, switching his eyes back.
"Seems like those magic eyes you got from Master are useful."
Ephraim uttered.
"Oh, shut up! I don't want to hear that from a fucking virgin! What did you get from him, huh?! Tell me!"
Asmodeus freaked out at the boy. Ephraim pushed up his glasses.
"Well, my Yuna is--"
"Sh."
Titania commanded.
Ephraim did not complain but simply listened to what she had to say. The reason was her expression.
"We have to move."
The woman interrupted him. She looked slightly disturbed.
"What's wrong, Titania?"
Ishtar asked.
"The other Tarots are coming toward here."
"Why?"
"Look, our markings are glowing."
Ragnarok pointed out that their Tarot tattoos were glowing. These were markings that they had ever since they were made.
Currently, the reason it was glowing was because...
"It must be a secret protocol. When the Father is killed, the Tarots must immediately arrive."
Ephraim announced, looking at his hip, which was glowing blue.
"Well, let's get out of here."
Ishtar swiped her arm downwards and the air opened up into a pocket. Inside was a starry field.
One by one, they got into the pocket without any complaint. Before Ishtar closed the portal, she looked back at the remaining legs of Regulus.
Her eyes narrowed as she glared down at his remains.
"Good riddance, Father."
Ishtar got through and closed the pocket.
