" Is that your face?"
He looked at her for a moment and told her about the change in his eyes. She asked for his name and he told her.
" I guess it has something to do with your resurrection" he heard her say.
He could not believe it. He had come back to life? Now he could understand what was happening to him.
When he succumbed to the darkness he had died and came back to life. He ran out of breath and died then came back to life.
That made sense to him. So his eyes were dark since he was a living dead of some sort. His eyes remained dead.
" Do you have anyone?" Valeria asked him. That question reminded him of Charmaine. How she suffered in her last moment and how her body became lifeless in his arms.
" She's dead. She is no more" he said faintly. Thinking about her was painful enough to kill him again.
The girl kept on asking about his family and it pained him more. He remembered how his father had died in his arms.
He remembered the pain he felt when his mother took her own life when she could no longer handle the pain of loosing her husband.
He remembered his brother who used to love him dearly. How he abandoned him and started a new life.
Peter must have already seized all his property and now he was a pauper. He could not even afford to pay the hospital bill.
" Don't worry about the hospital bill I will sort it out " Valeria said.
Draven did not even see the use in remaining alive. What was the point of coming back from the dead if he did not have her.
What good would it do him if he would have to live with the pain of remembering her every moment that passed.
" It makes no difference to me " he said coldly. He knew that he was been rude but he didn't care at all.
He blamed her for saving him and bringing him back to this miserable life. He accused her of all the troubles he would face with this life.
He felt bad when she told him that she had helped a fellow human but she had no idea that it would make the latter angry.
With an heavy heart he apologized for blaming her.
He saw her walk out and felt relieved that she had left.
A few minutes later she came back to the room after settling his bill. " Do you need any help in settling?" she asked.
Draven felt anger rise in him. This girl was the reason he failed to die and now she was offering him a place to stay.
" Just leave me alone and forget that you ever saw me" he yelled.
He saw a frown settle on her face and watched as she walked out of the door.
He felt guilty for being harsh to her but he knew that it was for the best. He was tired of causing people trouble.
He didn't want another person to get hurt because of him. If Peter and the likes came to know that she had saved him then she would be in great danger.
He didn't wish to risk the life of any other person. What he needed was to find a way and get back at the people who caused him harm.
He walked out of the ward and climbed to the last floor. He stood at the terrace and contemplated ending his life.
He could not bear to live with the pain of loosing Charmaine everyday.
He could not survive living in loneliness all his life. He had suffered enough and could bear not another suffering.
Draven had already lost everyone that was dear to him and all that he had left was an unlimited number of enemies.
The sooner his suffering ended the better it would be. He walked closer to the edge and estimated the distance.
He was not sure whether to end his pain or have his revenge.
Having his revenge would bring justice to Charmaine but for how long could he stand his pain.
He shed tears and apologized for having to leave without finding justice. He didn't even have a clue of what they did to her body and here he was running away like a coward.
He took a few steps backwards and remembered his pain his loneliness and his suffering.
He closed his eyes and made a silent prayer. He had made his decision.
He ran towards the edge and jumped from the terrace of the seventeenth floor.
