"Magic? damn, I have to dodge it quickly"
Randolph remembered the quest he had to do next, raising his magical defense and magic resist.
"This's so coincidental," a huge smile comes from Randolph's lips.
"Duum…dum…dum…dum"
The ice blizzards didn't stop, but Randolph was able to dodge it.
"Hey kid, don't you have knight blood? Then can you just dodge and jump here and there? Haaah?!"
The man yelled harshly to Randolph while luring the fight out of the house.
"You talk too much!!," Randolph replied.
A kick that was almost unavoidably launched by Randolph was in front of the man's face. But the man just smiled wryly.
"How arrogant of you kid! Without weapons, you are nothing to me! You are just a fly!"
An ice shield covered the man's body. The attack that Randolph gave instead made his legs freeze due to the effect of those ice shields.
"Maybe I should give you a lesson! Rain of Blizzard!!"
A mass of sharp icicles attacked Randolph, with one of his legs frozen, there was no way he could dodge the attack.
"Fireball!!," a voice of a woman came from behind Randolph.
"Bwoooosssh"
The fireball attacks and the ice spears colliding with each other created thick smoke.
"Enough dad, you're doing too much!"
It's turned out to be Randolph's mother. She holds the fire staff in his right hand. Then she quickly melted Randolph's frozen leg.
"Are you all right, son?," His mother hugged Randolph warmly as usual.
But Randolph felt shocked by his mother's words just now.
"Daaad….? This old ugly man? Is he your father? How?"
But her mother just smiled faintly.
"Of course, I can, stupid!
(ctaaak)
A light blow hit Randolph's head.
"Come on in, the residents have started arriving because of what happened earlier, after all, I want to say something to both of you"
Randolph was still confused by what had happened. But he obeyed his mother and his grandfather's words.
"Randolph, introduce im Tegura. I am your mom's father-in-law and one of the elders in this village. Sorry if it was only now that I was able to meet you"
"Then where has Grandpa all this time? Then what was that?" Randolph replied quickly.
Tegura seemed to ignore Randolph's question about his attack on his grandson.
"I was meditating to keep the Tiamat seals safe. But just as I was almost done with my meditation, I heard other elders talking about you and that's why I decided to come here to see you."
(Randolph's mother lowered her head and then sobbed)
Seeing this, Randolph's neck muscles tightened.
"What's this? What do you mean grandpa? I want an explanation"
"You will die if you stay in this village, kid"
"Dead?"
(Randolph's eyeballs shake)
"Why should I die?," Randolph snapped at his grandpa.
(Tegura moves his index finger and puts it right in front of his mouth)
"Shh...don't shout, they can hear," said Tegura quietly.
Randolph's mother tried to calm her son down. Randolph's previous bubbling emotions subsided instant.
"Son, you can hear all the stories from your grandfather. However, try to calm your anger and keep your voice down"
(exhales)
"Okay, I'm fine"
This time Tegura also tried to exhale.
"Noise Reduction," said Tegura.
With thats spell, the sound emitted by people in that room cannot be intercepted by people outside who are not affected by the spell.
"Father's going to start telling the origins of this village, and he is going to tell you what the other elders in this village think about you," said Randolph's mom.
Randolph gave a hand sign that he would pay close attention to his grandfather's words.
"This city is known as the city of a thousand Lycan knights. Everyone, when they reach twelve years old, will get Lycan form and can increase physique by almost 50%. The Lycan race also craves the power for using a weapon. The power to use a weapon means a lot to us. Even from the eyes of the elders, the Lycan knights gave off a crimson-colored aura that flowed out from our body," said Tegura.
Randolph already got this information from his two best friends. But, there is something strange according to him.
"From the eyes of the elders, you didn't seem to give off the slightest aura. You couldn't want to use any weapons. It was considered a shame for the elders and for the residents of Vulkacis and had to be exterminated"
(Randolph lowers his head and contemplates something)
"Lycan? I thought they were all of the human beast race as listed on my status," Randolph muttered under his breath.
"Then What should I do now grandpa?" Randolph asked frantically.
"You need to get out of Vulkacis right now. I can restrain the knights and elders a bit. You can go to the short-leg dwarven city in the middle of Itzbomos, you will stay there. Your mother will accompany you. Meet the dwarven named Zubum, he will help both of you"
"Knock...knock...knock..."
Not to long after the conversation, someone knocked on the door of that house.
"Master Tegura…are you inside?"
One of the Vulkacis knights knocked on the door of the house.
"Damn it, there's no more time, Teleport Vortex!"
Tegura made a teleport portal large enough for Randolph and his mother to enter. Not long after the two of them entered the portal, the house became quiet.
"Kreek..."
(Sound of door opening)
"I'm sorry it took me so long to open the door. What's the matter?"
"Khu...khu...khu, Tegura...Tegura.... It turns out that you really love the human woman," said Lycan elder holding a staff in his right hand.
"Tegura, you are indeed one of an elder here. But your strength has decreased far from decades ago, if you still want to live, leave them both," said another elder who was holding a black longsword.
"I don't understand what you mean, Mr. Yultong & Agha," said Tegura with a wry smile.
"There's no use talking to that old fart. Let me slash his head and take his place as one of the elders in this city," added a woman in her thirties who had already prepared her twin boomerangs.
With a quick movement that woman started to attack Tegura. But something surprising happened.
"It will take another 100 years for you to get my head, Laila! Mass Transfer Dimension!"
Everyone who was at the location disappeared without a trace.
