Chapter 6 - Chapter Six

Throughout the weekend, Heather searched and searched for May. All the efforts were useless, she tried talking to Shawn about it but he claimed to be busy. Again. Maybe Heather Melvin, was really alone in this world, afterall she had no parents to give her genuine love, and everyone else just...

She buckled herself up for school and made her way to it. Like every other day, it was worse. She wasn't in mood for anything or anyone. Especially not today, that was the last thing she needed.

She went to class as usual, then...got the shock of her life. May, was in class, seating comfortably, and looking are healthy as ever. WHAT?

Heather's mind exploded, her head was literally steaming. She beyond mad, infuriated, enraged or whatever one could explain anger. Whatever you could come up with, she was worse than that.

She had sleepless nights, nightmares, worrisome days, her whole world was upside down because of how worried she was about May and here she was comfortably seated, and looking beautiful while Heather had puffy eyes with eye bags. Even if it didn't matter to her, how she looked. All the worry was for nothing?

May noticed Heather standing infront of the class, at the door. With a kirk and no emotion on her face but anger. So she went to her with a smile.

'Hey, what are you-' May started but was cut short. ' Where were you?' Heather sneered. 'Huh?' ' what you suddenly forgot?' ' no I-I was with-' 'Don't' May gulped and just stared. 'I had to-' 'don't lie to me! Tell me the truth for once, where were you and what in the world do have to do with Derek, what?' Heather demanded loudly getting the attention of the other students.

May was quiet. 'Tell me the damn truth, what do you have to do with such a vile man-' 'He isn't' May defended. ' Wait a minute, you are defending him? Are you serious right now?' ' Derek isn't like that-' ' then how is he, because what I saw at the hospital-' ' forget what you saw, he isn't like that' May defended with full might making Heather chuckle. ' You're saying I should forget what I saw, what gave me panic attacks, nightmares. What made me worried sick for my best friend. To top it up, you lied to me countless of times about your Noona, you didn't take my calls. I don't even know how you got to school, at least after whatever you were doing, you should have at least called this morning or whenever, if you cared the slightlest-' 'I do, I do care about you-'

'Then tell me the truth!' May became slient again but Heather still waited because she hoped she would that May would confide in her. ' I just-' ' okay will you tell me or not?' Heather asked to end this already. She was freaking tired already. May lowered her head, she just couldn't tell her the truth, for some reason...

'Okay, I guess you won't, okay' Heather muttered. ' Heather-' ' talk to me when you are ready to tell me the truth' concluding with that, Heather walked out. May exhaled as she tugged her hair in frustration.
