Chapter 41 - A Golem with Strings

As I lie down in bed I take some time to think of my next course of action while also trying to find a soul to destroy. As horrible as that sounds it seems a good way to get SS and some people don't deserve mercy.

As I lie down I take some wood and make a little marionet before I start trying to move around. While I make the mini golem flail around, I also start using my spare conscious to make a void of pure darkness on the floor.

It wasn't a spell, it was a way for a mage to train their adaptability to mana, though it drained stupid amounts of stamina. I keep this up for a solid hour until I'm finally able to get the puppet to fight dynamically, like I would.

I flop onto the bed feeling my ability to use magic efficiently had improved, though I probably shouldn't use any for the next hour or so. I quickly cut open a spatial tear and fall back into my bed.

I then take out my magical metal and nanobots to start redoing the insides of my body while making sure to isolate my brain for the first bit. After five minutes it finally reaches my brain and my pain nullification stops working.

It's not as bad compared to the soul reforming so I just grit my teeth and wait another minute until the pains leaves and I tear a gash in space at the foot of my bed and I simply roll into it back on my dorm room bed.

As I roll back into my bed I finally feel the effects of the metal change. My body feels like nothing it's ever before and my mana consumption is drastically reduced. It was already pretty low but unless I started summoning meteors, I should be fine.

I decide to just walk around and place some nanobots as camera when I start tuning into gossip.

"Did you hear that high class group got trashed by one student? Best part is he even came out unharmed" I'm surprised they let that leak so soon.

"Really? That's impossible, one against 17 and not even a scratch?"

"People are saying it's the same guy who destroyed the testing golem."

"Isn't it just missing?" I think this guys a dumbass.

"That massive thing just vanishing one day? It's impossible to miss, so it had to have been destroyed."

"Doesn't the golem jump to the hardest difficulty if it feels threated?"

"So? That same royal group almost beat it on it's hardest difficulty, so who does that leave to be the culprit?" A look of realization dawns on the dumbasses face. He gives that face that says 'no way'

I keep walking and find more of the same chatter, nothing other than me beating the shit out of something seemed to be interesting. As I get back to my room I enter my training dome and a perfect recreation of the training hall and the golem appears.

I take out my katana and I can only see the windup before a massive punch appears right in front of my face. I tank the attacks and roll over the fist so it hits the wall and I start running across it while a bunch of smaller wooden golems appear on it's arm.

I start cutting them to shreds while piecing them back together with shadows before making a shadow hand compress them into a pole-vaulting pole while I keep slashing away at the numerous spikes.

I then go flying in the air using the pole and grab it using a shadow hand before lighting it on fire and throwing it towards the golems neck while it takes it's two fists and grabs me while making a bunch of spikes inside it's hands.

I make a bunch of shadow and wind blades while cutting the ever growing spikes until they suddenly stop and the golem collapse to the floor.

I exit the burning golem and it suddenly disappears before a bigger one than the last one takes it place and I just smile.

After another hour or so of getting beaten down by the golem I lie down exhausted. While the training only took place in my soul it still caused exhaustion from overuse. I take out the basic books for all of my classes and start reading.

As I flip through the third book someone knocks on the door and I open to see a girl looking nervous she stutter a bit before finally giving me a sentence.

"Your presence is requested at the royal gathering." Should I bother is the real question?

"Where?"

"Swordsmanship Theory classroom." I just shadow step to the door and I find a girl standing at the teachers podium with the other dumbasses sitting in the front row. As I enter everyone just stares at me.

"Next time show your sorry asses and don't send a messenger." They look somewhat frustrated at this remark and I just sit at the back of the room.

"Understood, we have come to address the issues of the missing golem." Let's just get this over with, I'm still fucking sore.

"I did it, do you need anything else?" The girl just looks shocked for a second before speaking.

"Could we have it back?" I just make the golem appear on the floor and I stitch it back together, it's really too big for the room and is bending to the back of it to just fit.

"Please put it in the training room." Done being an asshole, I teleport over to the training room and put it back in the corner I found it in before teleporting back in my room and finding Angelica.

I simply make another gash before appearing back in the shop.

It was about time I fixed this world anyways.
