Chapter 24 - The downsides of technology

As I walk back to the bar I wait for my arm to restart, having used all the excess energy I had to fire that beam, I barley manage to keep my arm moving like a normal one should and keeping up the fake skin while walking. As I walk down the street people actively stay away from me.

While walking back the the shop I get to the dumpsters I dump all the gangsters in and change my face again. While walking back to the shop I find Bianca and Marcia on one side of the shop both armed with a pistol while a group of guys stand on the other side armed with every imaginable melee weapon.

"Just pay the money and our dojo will leave you alone. We're only asking for $500, but if you can't spare that you could-"

I had just hit the guy in the back of the head with a kick and the others turn around to attack me but I had already picked up his body using my foot to kick him upwards so I can throw him at the other members to my right, clearing out an exit from the counter.

I then pull out a butterfly knife and release the bloodlust making the 4 guys left take a step back. I swing my knife towards one of them while grabbing another one's head and pulling him downwards.

I let the knife fall from my hands and I dodge a punch to my head by moving it to the right while also making a scythe in front of my chest to stop the sword coming for it. The sword is cut into segments while I kick one stomach while also using a segment of the sword still in the air to stab the last guys thigh.

"Sorry about that, by the way Bianca, did you use the syringe I left on your bedside table?"

"No"

"Go do that then." She then walks off to her room, I'm assuming she moved it there. I then turn to Marcia.

"So what are you doing here?"

"Bianca's my friend, and I want a spell" I take a piece of paper and draw the basic earth ball spell before handing it to her. Her eyes sparkle a bit and she starts making the circle, I'm not even surprised about the fact she's been gathering mana.

After that I go back to my room and the cyborg parts within, while it's all fine and good to be a cyborg I should probably use the unused parts to make the real highlight of the set. I start reassembling some of the unused parts and stuff them inside my PC to make my very own supercomputer.

Well supercomputer might be a bit of a stretch, but because the world it originally came from was so much further advanced then us it was basically a matchless computer that could get me into anywhere without alerting anyone. It also used data transmission to allow me to browse the internet through my eyes.

I look through the internet by swiping my hands and find a hospitals records on all the patients they sent to another hospital who subsequently died. It was really disgusting, but I couldn't do anything. Yet.

I mean this country was a complete shit show but this was just to much dammit. Everyone should have standards, but it seems I was the only dumbass thinking that. I was definitely going to slap some sense into this world, but it had to wait.

While I flip through more logs like that, I make a separate folder and start adding the stuff there.

While I was busy getting all the dirt on the planet's most powerful figures I was also cultivating. After an hour or so I had made good progress with cultivation so I was feeling great. When Bianca walks inside the room she had undergone some visible changes.

Her eyes had changed to be an olive color while her hair looked smoother and her boobs got a good size bigger. She looks somewhat distressed, and I realize that it was pretty stupid of me to leave her alone with it.

"What happened to me?"

"Your DNA has changed to that of my sibling, so your body has underwent changes from the DNA. Your talent should have also been improved to SSS." She then picks up the crystal and I look to see an even more intense storm with purple lighting striking down.

"So I'm your sister now?"

"Yep, now you have grater talent and the added benefit of an excuses to be here. Anyways I think your element mutated, can you cast a spell for me real quick?" She casts a simple ball of lighting but this time, it's purple.

I look at the spell closer and find that the lighting bolts have some the properties of dark magic, while still being easy to manipulate. I give her a lighting tendril spell variation and she effortlessly casts and moves it around.

"Your lighting element has fused with my darkness element, meaning your spells take a bit of your targets vitality while also being easier to manipulate and having electric charges. It might have other benefits, but as of now I can't tell."

"So... how should I call you now?"

"... Whatever makes you comfortable I guess"

"Alright then brother." She then leaves and I'm left with a feeling of awkwardness.

I then fiddle with the knowledge I got from a chip that I found came with the parts to make the arm have a port function, allowing me to download data from anything it touches. I'm doing this all while cultivating of course.
