Eleanor continued to murmur something, pressing her palm against his brow. As she channeled her energy to him, the light from her hand grew brighter and brighter. Her sole focus was on healing his wounds and stopping the bleeding. She did so because Zane's regeneration ability couldn't be resumed while he was unconscious, and he wouldn't be able to regain consciousness until the bleeding stopped.
However, she was not aware that this process would be detrimental to her.
She felt a tearing pain in her shoulder as she continued the healing process. It was as though a ferocious animal was scratching her with its sharp claws, gashing her flesh. Her stomach twisted from the pain.
She whimpered and stopped chanting abruptly. She knew she couldn't stop in the middle. So, she swallowed down the pain and continued the process.
